We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. The 'Legalize Drugs' Team

"In Texas, it's common knowledge that the current wars on the Mexico-Texas border are, to a large extent, about drugs. Ironically, the two strongest groups that want to maintain the status quo of prohibition are the drug dealers and Christian conservative --two groups with opposite motivations but who share a common interest in keeping the drug war going.

The cost to pursue the drug war in the past 40 years runs into hundreds of billions. The social cost, including the loss of civil liberties, is incalculable. Crime relating to the drug laws far surpasses the crime related to the 15 years of alcohol prohibition. I expect that someday the country will wake up and suddenly decide, as we did in 1933, that prohibition to improve personal behavior is lost cause, and the second repeal of prohibition will occur. This is more likely now than ever before because of the growing perception that the federal government is inept and more Americans are becoming aware of the senselessness of the war on drugs."

Crack Cocaine:There are an estimated 2.0 million current cocaine users in the United States, 467,000 of whom use crack.

Approximately 100 years after cocaine entered into use, a new variation of the substance emerged. This substance, crack, became enormously popular in the mid-1980s due in part to its almost immediate high and the fact that it is inexpensive to produce and buy.
  1. Crack is a highly addictive form of cocaine that is typically smoked. The term "crack" refers to the crackling sound heard when the substance is heated, presumably from the sodium bicarbonate that is used in the production of crack.
  2. Cocaine is a strong central nervous system stimulant. Physical effects of cocaine use, including crack, include constricted blood vessels and increased temperature, heart rate, and blood pressure. Users may also experience feelings of restlessness, irritability, and anxiety.

Ron Paul, Exactly how will making 'Crack Cocaine' legal, more affordable and easier to obtain; make the United States a safer and better place to live and raise families?

Before and After Crack Cocaine

Heroin:Heroin is a highly addictive drug, and its use is a serious problem in America. Current estimates suggest that nearly 600,000 people need treatment for heroin addiction. Recent studies suggest a shift from injecting heroin to snorting or smoking because of increased purity and the misconception that these forms of use will not lead to addiction.

In addition to the effects of the drug itself, street heroin may have additives that do not readily dissolve and result in clogging the blood vessels that lead to the lungs, liver, kidneys, or brain. This can cause infection or even death of small patches of cells in vital organs.

According to the University of Michigan's Monitoring the Future Study in 2002, 1.6% of 8th graders, 1.8% of 10th graders, and 1.7% of 12th graders surveyed reported using heroin at least once during their lifetime. That study also showed that 0.9% of 8th graders, 1.1% of 10th graders, and 1% of 12th graders reported using heroin in the past year.

The heroin addict spends between $150 to $200 per day to maintain a heroin addiction.

National Geographic's Taboo program, it's a place in Vancouver,Canada where you can shoot heroin legally without having to worry about been arrested, It's the only place in north america of this sort.

Ron Paul 'Wants' this in the United States

Heroin Before and After
Ron Paul, Exactly how will making 'Heroin' legal, more affordable and easier to obtain; make the United States a safer and better place to live and raise families?

Meth:Based on the latest data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), around 353,000 Americans ages 12 and older are current methamphetamine users (National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 2010).

Although the percent of the general population found to be current meth users is now lower than in previous years (0.1%), SAMHSA has also found U.S. treatment admissions for methamphetamine/amphetamine use has undergone dramatically swings between 1999 and 2005, ascending from 32 to 69 per 100,000 population, and currently standing at 44 per 100,000 population.

In addition to the heightened risk for HIV/AIDS infection, the functional and molecular damage caused to the brain by injection meth use often causes severe mood disturbances in users such as depression, anxiety, paranoia, anger and aggression. This latest study, led by Dr. Brandon Marshall of Columbia, has now identified suicidal behavior to be an additional symptom of injection meth use, although the neural pathways that link the two behaviors will require further investigation.

The 'Blame America' Team

TEHRAN, Iran - Iran has begun uranium enrichment at a new underground site built to withstand possible airstrikes, a leading hard-line newspaper reported January 8, 2012 in another show of defiance against Western pressure to rein in Tehran's nuclear program.

The operations at the bunker-like facility south of Tehran, reported by the Kayhan daily newspaper, are small in comparison to Iran's main enrichment site. But the centrifuges at the underground labs are considered more efficient and are shielded from aerial surveillance and protected against airstrikes by up to 300 feet (90 meters) of mountain rock.

Star Parker - Ron Paul, Reagan, and Republican Youth

In the twenty plus years that I have worked as a conservative activist, I’ve spoken on almost 200 university campuses.

Usually these are talks to campus Republican and conservative groups.

Over time I have observed changes in attitude among many young Republicans and I believe the shifts in attitude I see help explain the rise of Ron Paul.

When I first started lecturing early in the 1990’s, leading heroes of Republican youth were Ronald Reagan and William F. Buckley, Jr.

Individual freedom, respect for constitutional limitations on government, and traditional values was the message. There was a sense of purpose. America as a “shining city on a hill,” quoted so often by Reagan, taken from the Puritan pilgrim John Winthrop, captured the picture.

Now, increasing numbers of my campus hosts ask that I not talk about “values.” Leave out the stuff about marriage, family, and abortion, please, and just talk about the economy.

The materialism and moral relativism that created our left wing culture is now infecting our youth on the right. Young Republicans may be pushing back on government, but too often now their motivation is like their left wing contemporaries. A sense of entitlement and an interest in claiming rights with little interest in corresponding personal responsibilities.

David Yepsen, who directs the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, recently described Ron Paul's success as a "resurgence of the libertarian and isolationist wings of the Republican Party," resulting from "hard times and unpopular wars."

But overlooked is the important role of youth.

Of registered Republicans and Republican-leaning Independents that support Paul, 67 percent are under 34, compared to 37 percent of Romney’s and 20 percent of Gingrich’s support.

This youthful surge has helped Paul’s very successful fundraising, heavily driven by small contributions on the internet. Compared to Republicans who have raised the most funds, 48 percent of Paul’s is from small donors, compared to 10 percent of Romney’s and 4 percent of Rick Perry’s.

And youth have been critical in Paul’s on the ground organization. I watched this play out when Paul won the straw poll at the Values Voters Summit in Washington where I spoke last October.

Busloads of youthful Paul supporters arrived only to hear his speech and to pay and register so that they could vote. They put him over the top.

They have little interest in a Reagan-like “shining city on a hill” message, or talk about a threatening “evil empire” abroad.

To the contrary, they are excited by the “leave me alone” candidate who thinks the rest of the world is not our business. Apparently they share Paul’s indifference to the looming threat of a nuclear Iran or the almost complete absence of the freedom they think is so important in most Islamic nations.

Chicago Sun Times columnist Steve Huntley reports one estimate of over 200,000 persecuted Coptic Christians leaving Egypt by year end. He reports a dramatic drop in the presence of Christians throughout the Middle East (the Christian population of Bethlehem is now a third of what it was 35 years ago).

The only exception is Israel, where the Christian population has more than quadrupled since 1948. But Ron Paul sees no distinction between Israel and its neighbors nor does he think Americans should care.

Self centered materialism that leads our youth to support such indifference to global realities is also driving collapse of the American family.

Census Bureau statistics show that today 20 percent of America’s population between ages 18 and 29 is married. This compared to 59 percent fifty years ago.

In his farewell speech, Reagan issued a warning to the nation.

“…are we doing a good enough job teaching our children what America is and what she represents in the long history of the world?”

I doubt that Ron Paul’s vision of America is what Reagan had in mind.

Wild Bill for America - 2012 Sabotage

One presidential candidate is threatening to sabotage the election unless he wins the primary.

Visit the Wild Bill for America Blog

NOTE from RG - I agree 100% with Wild Bill's assessment of Ron Paul. The American people will NEVER elect someone like Ron Paul who advocates Liberty devoid of morals, principles and values. Ron Paul advocates transforming Society to match the Depravity of Humans.

NOTE from Anne from PA - I also agree 100% with Wild Bill's assessment of Ron Paul, and it all pretty much comes down to....

“Ron Paul needs to decide what’s more important; his massive
ego, or the survival of America.”

Unfortunately, Paul has been diagnosed as a ego-centric, narcissist with a cult leader mentality, so I worry that his massive ego will put the survival of America in some jeopardy.

We can only hope and pray that there aren't enough Paul-bots to take votes away from a legitimate Conservative candidate that would give Obozo another four years to destroy our country.

Kevin McCullough - Why 80% Reject Paul and Romney

Dear Iowa Caucus participants,

You have been told for the better part of year now who it is that you must choose. Beltway insiders have insisted upon thrusting establishment candidates upon you. Libertarian anarchists have swopped into your state shouting that you must support Ron Paul, while toking on the marijuana they soon believe President Paul will make legal.

You've been openly mocked by Governor John Huntsman from Utah--who ironically seeks your support.

Ann Coulter has defied every conservative principal she's ever espoused by trying to brainwash you into thinking that Mitt Romney is the best that you have to choose from.

You've endured what seems like 7,162 debates. Which have yielded roughly thirty seconds of actual substance to judge the candidates on.

Yet after all of it, nearly 80% of you do not care for the front runner who was the third place finisher in 2008. And even less of you seem enamored with the rebellion inciting candidacy of a country doctor--who clearly understands our monetary crisis, but would leave America vulnerable to horrors beyond that of 9.11--should he become the decision maker.

So what is about the 80% of GOP Caucus goers that has you siding with the other candidates?

Could it be that they clearly articulate, understand, and have demonstrated a track record on the really simple things like protecting innocent life?
This would be understandable given that Governor Romney insisted upon $50 abortions being made available through tax-payer dollars in his desire to force private citizens in Massachusetts into mandated universal health care.
Could it be that they clearly believe that this is a dangerous world and the issues of national security are not for the silly-minded?
This would also make sense given the fact that Congressman Paul chose to excoriate his opponents, accusing them of harboring desires of genocide against 1.4 billion Muslims, instead of answer the question put before him as to how his presidency would handle the growing Iranian instability. Specifically he avoided answering what he would choose to do in the event that Iran attempts to hi-jack international waterways. One of those other candidates is easily America's greatest authority on the Iranian matter, another one has seen the confidential national security documents that none of the others have, and another one has been busy catching terror suspects on his state's southern border.
Could it be that the other candidates have argued and demonstrated consistently that raising taxes and attaching fees to the basics in American life is burdensome to the economic health of the nation?
This would again be completely understandable given that Governor Romney raised taxes on education in state universities, for purchasing a home, to receive a certificate of blindness, on corporations, driver's licenses, marriage licenses, gun licenses, and even gasoline?
Could it be that the candidates drawing 80% of the GOP Caucus goers support in the polls don't believe legalizing heroin and marijuana are good ideas?
No one can argue with the logic that seems to elude Dr. Ron Paul on the simple concept of dangerous narcotics and making access easier for them.
Could it be that you don't know if you could trust Mitt Romney nor Ron Paul to protect the sacred institution of marriage?
Neither man has given you any reason to believe that they would seek to keep radical courts from imposing a government defined view of marriage upon voters in every state. Yet Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich helped you overturn activist judges in your own state, and Michelle Bachmann and Rick Perry have been long supportive of your state's rights to decide for itself what the definition of marriage should be. And when you consider the particularly heinous manipulation that Governor Romney has applied to the issue -- pretending to support marriage, while overseeing, participating in, and enforcing the view of the activist courts -- support for him is particularly troublesome.
Could it be that you really just need to know that the most offensive over-reach of government in our lifetimes will be overturned?
This is completely fair. Obamacare--and further--the entire idea of government forcing you to purchase anything--just to exist--is outrageously unconstitutional. Governor Romney, however, just this week said that not only did he still support his original blueprint for Obamacare (the one he actually authored), but he went a step further to claim that the idea of forcing citizens to purchase health care--a mandate at the force of a gun--was a "conservative principle." Never mind that fact that this type of audacity carries with it incredible hubris, how does it incline you to believe that he will do anything to repeal Obamacare?
Could it be--actually above all else--that you are more concerned about finding, getting, and keeping a job than anything else?
If so you're not alone and while Ron Paul has no experience in economic development, and Mitt Romney will certainly be bloodied in the general election campaign with advertisement after advertisement talking to people his company sought to have fired from their private sector positions. One of the other candidates has seen to it that the regulatory, tax, and litigative atmosphere in the state which he serves as Governor is kept in check, and as a result his state has seen the growth of close to half of all jobs created in the last three years--while President Obama was busy growing government payrolls, and killing private sector jobs by more than two million.
In short Iowa Caucusers you have a lot of reasons to be 80% against the two men that you really can't seem to identify with. This week you have the serious job of deliberating, debating, and convincing your fellow caucusers of the truth. Feel free to take this column with you to the caucus.

But whatever you do, don't give up on your principles! Don't bankrupt our future, and don't vote out of fear.

Ronald Reagan always said that if he agreed with someone on 80% of the issues, he would count them a friend. By implication 80% disagreement would probably indicate that he couldn't work with that person.

Iowans share 80% disapproval of Mitt Romney and Ron Paul. Therefore finding unity on what you do agree on and stopping those you disagree with should be of the utmost of importance. Consider that on Tuesday.

America will be the better for it.

Zonation - Ron Paul's 9/11 Insanity: Why Ron Paul Is the Jeremiah Wright of the Right

"Ron Paul like Barack Obama CANNOT run on their record because neither one of them have a 'Record' that voters would support.

Ron Paul has been a Congressman for Years and has little legislation to show for it.

ALL Ron Paul and Barack Obama can do is 'Blame Others' and vilify other Candidates - with words.

Although there "MIGHT" be differences in the reasons for their Policies - the results are exactly the same.

There are MORE similarities than differences between Barack Obama and Ron Paul."
