Much of the political discourse that we have witnessed these last few days surrounding the shootings in Tucson, AZ and the conduct of the left can be explained.

The Left embraces the overthrow of our country in a way that ordinary Americans cannot fathom. Their view is completely upside down of what we on the Right believe in.

We in the West have been fighting Communism since 1916. Now it is at our doorstep. It was appalling to witness the overt demonstrations by communists at the various rallies in our nation's capital in recent months. Many of the labor unions in attendance embrace communism as displayed in the various printed protest placards.

Since the election of Obama it is apparently okay for Communists and Socialists to come out from the shadows. They are emboldened now.

Take a look at these two videos and decide for yourself if this nation has a problem or not. These were from the Brecht Forum, a center for social justice. The speaker is Jed Brandt.

It is painfully obvious that we have we have a segment in our society that is bent on the complete overthrow of our government and they will use any crisis to advance their warped agenda.

Fortunately, the American people are waking up to this charade. People are reviled at the blatant political hay being made at the expense of the dead and wounded.

The political rally yesterday by Obama, which was supposed to be a memorial service for the victims, was an out and out disgusting display of the left's depravity.

Passing out tee-shirts, cheering and clapping is no memorial service by any definition. The families of the dead, the survivors, and the nation deserve better than this.

Hardnox from VA - Where is the outrage?

Where is the outrage over Christians being killed all over the world in Muslim countries by Muslims in the name of Islam? The tempo of this slaughter has increased through the Christmas holidays.

Crickets... from everyone including Christians. Christian leaders and politicians don’t know what to say in response to this carnage for fear that it will cause more violence. Our leaders have been co-opted into silence by political correctness that is getting a lot of people killed.

Let’s call it what it is. Islam has been at war with the rest of the world for 1400 years. When is the rest of the planet going to wake up to that fact?

Islam has been falsely advertised as the "religion of peace" by politicians and the media worldwide in an attempt to placate fundamental Islamists. It is entirely a false narrative and a dangerous one. In the aftermath of September11, 2001 the world saw Muslims dancing in the streets including here in the U.S.

New York, Washington, London, Barcelona, Madrid and a host of other cities in the West have been attacked. The continent of Africa is having Christians slaughtered by the millions at this very moment. There have been tens of thousands of attacks on non-Muslims in 2010 alone.

Lately all that is heard from the media is that the West suffers from Islamophobia. What???????

The West suffers from this legitimately. No other religion preaches the killing of non-believers as is done in the Koran. Where is the condemnation of these attacks by Muslims and their leaders? The silence is deafening.

Until we begin hearing a reoccurring denunciation of violence against non-Muslims from Muslims themselves then the West can rightfully be Islamophobic.

Hardnox from VA - Conservatism won…now what?

 November 2^nd 2010 will go down as an epic event in the annals of American political history.  It was a resounding rebuke of the leftist policies of the current resident and the congress.

Most of the winners, including some Democrats, ran their campaigns on the issue of repealing ObamaCare and downsizing government.  If the new congress is to be effective then it needs to simply expose the legislation for what it is and in a detail that the average American voter can understand and support.

The left owns the bullhorn through the media.  Naturally, as conservatives begin the repeal process the Left will paint the Right as evil folks that want to deny people the right to affordable health care and every other nanny-state program.

If the GOP is planning to be an effective force for change then they are well advised to embrace the people from the Tea Party grassroots movement.  It is these folks and the millions that support them that ushered in this congress.  The electorate voted for a correction and they fully expect it.  If the elitists in the GOP expect to do business as usual, they will have a very rude awakening.  The people are watching.

These last legislative victories in the lame duck session are a clear indication that the elite don’t quite get it yet.  Granted, it might very well have been a parting shot from the left but it certainly smacks of disdain for the American people.

The new members of the House have pledged that each piece of legislation will be Constitutional.  What a novel idea!  That was Congress’ job in the first place.  Instead, Congress has for the last 60 years passed legislation that would stay in place as long as the courts and ultimately the Supreme Court allowed it to stay.  In other words, if no challenges were filed the legislation would stay in effect, Constitutional or not.

That is a lousy way to legislate as well as lazy.  The American people deserve better.  Legislation should pass Constitutional muster as it is written and certainly, before it is voted on.  Further, congressional representatives and senators should at least read the legislation before they vote on it.  That is one part of their job.  There is a mountain of legislation on the books that are patently un-Constitutional and everyone on Capitol Hill knows it.

It is incumbent on us citizens to maintain the level of contact with our elected leaders as we had before the election.  Often we only vent when we oppose their decisions.  We also need to applaud their actions when they are in concert with our own.  It will also remind them that we are WATCHING.

America is on a verge of collapse.  This is no time to wait and see.  The future of this republic is at stake.

What is at stake on November 2^nd

I keep noticing that folks keep exchanging the label Socialism and Communism as if they interchangeable.  They are quite different.

1. Socialism is when the state decides to provide the people with all kinds of “freebies” paid for by the people that work for a living, all for the common good.
2. Communism is when the state decides what the people will do for a living… and the people will have to like it, all for the common good.

We are all on a ride to Communism in the express lane.  Make no mistake about it.

Need proof?  Look what the government has done or has control of in just in 20 short months:

• The government take-over of GM and Chrysler.
• The government take-over of the entire health-care industry (1/6^th of our economy).
• The government take-over of all student loans which has already resulted in higher tuition.
• The government take-over of the mortgage lending industry.
• The government take-over of Banking Industry.
• The Department of Transportation has declared that the primary focus of transportation will be towards bicycles.  What about people living in the suburbs?  Forced relocation, maybe?  

• The Department of Homeland Security has declared those of us that take opposing views of the government as people that need to be watched, specifically folks that are Pro-Life, ex-military, pro-Second Amendment and the like.  

• The talking-heads in the alphabet-media have brandished the term “sedition” to anyone that offers an opposing view.  It seems that “freedom of speech” is allowed only for those exclusively on the left.  
• In addition, we’ve been labeled Racists, Fascists, Nazis, Tea-Baggers (whatever that is), and Astro-Turfers too.  Evidently, opposing views are for those only on the left.  Also, YouTube videos that have a opposing views mysteriously disappear.  
• The Department of Health has declared a “war on fat”, so they will be telling us what to eat soon
• The Department of Agriculture has a “Fields to Forest” program whereas farmers are encouraged to convert farmland to forests to help the environment.  We already import most of our food even though we have the most productive farmers and farmland in the world.
• The Department of Justice has filed suit against the state of Arizona in response to Arizona’s new immigration law that actually is a watered-down copy of federal law but with specific anti-racial-profiling language.  Good plan, just provoke anti-Hispanic tensions for political gain instead of securing our borders which is actually the federal government’s job.

•  Obama has changed NASA’s core mission from space exploration to now reaching out to Muslims because of their contribution to science.  The Muslim contribution to modern science is non-existent.
• $800 billion “Stimulus package” for non-existent shovel-ready projects that don’t exist.  Most of the funds have been diverted to the upside-down Union pension plans in a scheme that results in Unions donating “our money” to the campaign coffers of democrats.
• Wall Street is almost there. 
• They already own Public Education.  Students are getting more ignorant each passing year.

Here is what is next:

•  Immigration Reform (aka Amnesty) is on the front burner, thereby insuring millions of illegal aliens become new Democratic voters.
•  Cap & Trade is also on the burner, the results will be devastating to our economy.  Energy costs will skyrocket all the while the Eco-nuts have blocked any and all expansion of standard and alternative energy measures through the courts.
• Card-Check is in the wings.  This is when it will be mandatory to Unionize all industries.

Does this even sound like the United States of America?

Many more can be added.  It is mind-numbing.  The left has been plotting and dreaming of this moment for the last 100 years.

Pundits claim that this may be the most pivotal and important election in American history.  It is, make no mistake about it.  If the democrats retain power then they will most certainly hit the accelerator.

So what have you done to foster Conservative principles?  Have you engaged your fellow Americans in meaningful conversations, supported a protest rally, or do you just sit at home reading columns like this?

Obama promised to fundamentally change America and he is unless we stop him and his minions.  It’s still not too late.

Now is the time to rally any and all allies in this fight.  The future of this country depends on it.

Do your duty.  Stand up.  Vote on November 2^nd.`

Hardnox from VA - Amnesty for Illegals?

There has been much talk from both parties about what to do about the illegal aliens that we have in this country. This issue will no doubt be center stage after the Climate Change debate. Both parties vie for the “minority vote”. The Democrats have been particularly successful in championing this issue. Their motives aren’t about the aliens it’s about elections. Liberals in both parties want to develop a voting constituency and Conservatives don’t want to touch it for fear of being labeled racist. Both groups are cowards.

No one really knows how many Illegals that we have in this country. Some say 12 million. Some say it is as high as 20 million. Regardless of the number, they are ILLEGAL.

The cold reality is that these Illegals are a tremendous drain on our nation in terms of economic resources in a time when we can least afford it. Some studies estimate as high as 385 billion dollars are year are spent cumulatively by local, state, and federal agencies.

The Left claims that it isn’t fair that these individuals were not fortunate enough to be born in the United States. This is a true statement but frankly that’s just too bad. Get in line and apply for citizenship just like tens of millions have done. Don’t just sneak in under the radar and then expect special consideration. We have a process of citizenship that has served this country well for over a hundred years. What part of Illegal don’t our elected officials understand?

The Left always banters the “Fairness” of all things. Okay, let’s talk fairness. I say it is patently unfair for Illegals to bypass the lawful citizenship process, jump passed the front of the line, and enjoy American citizenship without the deliberate application of wanting to be a citizen. I ask the Left “is that fair?” The whole idea of amnesty for aliens is unfair. Unfair for those that have already applied for citizenship, and unfair for those that have already accomplished that task. Additionally, those that have applied or have become citizens did so because they want to participate in the grand experiment known as the United States of America. Amnesty would not garner loyalty to this country nor would it make them Americans in their hearts. It would be free. Therefore it would be of little or no value.

Some proponents of amnesty claim that Illegals do the work that Americas won’t do. Maybe so, but $385 billion is awfully expensive. If the high figure of 20 million aliens is true then the actual cost for taxpayers per alien is about $19,250 per year for EACH alien. This figure is beyond what they already earn for their labor.

The silver lining in our present recession has led to a slow exodus of aliens back to their mother countries. This proves that they were never intent on being Americans in the first place. I hope that the exodus continues. If they want to return and become Americans, then get in line.

The greatest obstacle to any solution lies in the fact that we have too many Liberals in both parties and that the agencies that are tasked to enforce our laws have been neutered by politicians. I must remind our politicians that they owe their loyalty to America first.

Before any reader jumps to any conclusion about me they should know that the issue of Amnesty and citizenship has a personal importance to me. In 1960, my parents and 4 year old me came to America with three suitcases and $200. The three of us became proud citizens in 1968 after an exhaustive citizenship process. In all those fifty years that we have broken our backs to get ahead and realize the American dream not once did we receive special consideration or aid. Never was it expected nor would we have taken it had it been available. We were glad to just be here and learned the language and customs of America. We have eagerly embraced all that this great land has to offer. We are proud to be Americans. We are not hyphenated Americans nor will we ever be.

Simply put, an immigrant’s personal struggle for citizenship and the American dream is the recipe for success in America. Ask any naturalized citizen if I am wrong.

Amnesty for Illegals would ultimately ruin the fiber of this nation by destroying the glue that binds us together as Americans by cheapening the entire process.
