So far, the state reports nine fatalities and 60 injuries after up to 12 tornadoes tore through the state, hitting 14 different communities. Fallin declared state of emergencies for many of those communities, in which 60,000 homes remain without electricity.
Still, if there's one ray of hope in a mess of destruction, Fallin says it's the pride that comes from seeing neighbors helping neighbors. "That's one of the great things about Oklahoma," she said.
