Boehner says all of the discussion right now is about how many trillions in spending will be cut.Boehner said that there is going to be a two-stage process, as it’s not possible to do it all in one step. The speaker stressed, “I know the president is worried about his next election. He should be worried about the country.”
Of the Senate’s tabling of ‘Cut, Cap and Balance’, Boehner said, “I continue to believe a balanced budget amendment is the greatest forcing mechanism to bring spending under control. I am going to continue to develop a plan in framework of Cut, Cap and Balance.”
