One of them was Fox News anchor Bret Baier, who said that many sentiments heard on the ground involved a fear of a terrorist attack on the capital; Baier said those on the streets outside reflected on how the feelings of the earthquake and aftershocks took them back to the feelings directly after 9/11.
Fox News correspondent Doug McKelway reported live on Tuesday’s Special Report from Mineral, Va. – the city in which the epicenter of Tuesday’s 5.9-magnitude earthquake originated. McKelway stood in a grocery store within the town’s borders, where shelves had been knocked over and contents spilled after the quake rocked the city and surrounding area.
