I don’t know about you, but sometimes it all feels like too much — the uprisings in the Middle East, the increasing threats to Israel, not to mention the plummeting US economy. I keep thinking of the title of that old musical, “Stop the World. . .I Want to Get Off.”
There are so many topics that can make my blood boil these days. But the biggest one may be the exploitation of children by the cultural Marxists.
Exploitation of anyone is a bad thing; but doing it to children is immoral. Children should be protected and loved and not used for social engineering. Perhaps my ire about kids being used and abused has to do my being inadvertently part of that failed, social experiment in the 60′s, called forced busing.
In my school district, busing required black kids from the other side of the tracks to be forced to travel to white schools. The utopian premise, I suppose, was for the races to mix in some sort of Kumbaya paradise. But the opposite occurred.
The black children felt alienated and ashamed. And when middle school years came, they banded together and took their rage out on us white kids. Everyone suffered because of those liberal adults in their Ivory Towers with self-righteous ideas about saving the world.
Forced busing is a thing of the past in most parts of the country. (Although, not surprisingly, it’s alive and (not) well in Berkeley and SF, where kids must go to public schools based on “social justice,” not to their neighborhood schools.) But even though busing isn’t the societal norm, this doesn’t mean that the progressives have stopped their inculcation of children into radical lifestyles and thinking.
For one, children are now not only taught basic sex education in the public schools; they are saturated with information about sex, whether it’s masturbation, putting on condoms, or “gay pride.” Children who haven’t even decided whether they prefer chocolate or strawberry ice cream are now told to start thinking about their sexual orientation.
There are guest speakers on sex change operations; discussions ad nauseum about their “rights” to sex. Planned Parenthood even sponsors sex education summer camps. While God used to be promoted in the schools, now sex is elevated to a position of holiness.
But it gets even worse: the latest craze (and I do mean craze) is brainwashing the kids about gender neutrality and gender fluidity. This means that children are encouraged to experiment with gender; they’re told they can switch around between being a girl or a boy to see which gender best fits.
In case you think I’m exaggerating, I just received the information below on a class in “gender diversity” at an Oakland, public elementary school. The two-day course is slated for children, from kindergarten through 5th grade, and is sponsored by a radical organization, the Pacific Justice Institute. The group wages legal war on religion on all fronts.
Why they are also corrupting and confusing innocent young minds about their genders is anyone’s guess. Mine would be that rabidly atheist organizations despise the works of God, most notably our bodies — intact, as God designed it to be.
Here’s the information below. Should you feel inspired, the principal’s email address is also included below. I’d suggest a firm, though polite, letter. I know that I’ll be writing one myself.
This kind of brainwashing of young minds is not just happening in far Left areas like mine, but has been going on for years in other places, such as Massachusetts and Madison, WI. We need to stop it before it spreads its poison to an area near you.
Oakland Elementary School Teaches Pupils That There Are More Than Two Genders
On May 23-24 Redwood Heights Elementary School will be teaching children in grades kindergarten through fifth that there are more than two genders. The two days calendared for this are called “Gender Spectrum Diversity Training.” In documents released by the school, students will be taught that “gender is not inherently nor solely connected to one’s physical anatomy.” Further, gender is a “complex interrelationship between [physical traits] and one’s internal sense of self as male, female, both or neither as well as one’s outward presentations and behaviors related to that perception.” Another document from the school advises parents: “When you discuss gender with your child, you may hear them [sic] exploring where they fit on the gender spectrum and why.”At this point, we do not know if this is the only school in the Oakland Unified School District which has gender diversity training.
