Veterans Day Coming Up 11/11/11

Many Veterans and Active Military 'Do Not Know' that several businesses give discounts to Active Military and Veterans. You must ask for the discount and Most businesses require proof. I am a United States Army Veteran and use my membership card from the American Legion along with my drivers license.

I am not certain about ALL of the businesses on this list, but I am certain about the Home Improvement Stores - Lowes and Home Depot, who give a 10% discount. My Wife and I recently purchased an appliance from Lowes costing $300 and received a $30 dollar Discount.

Remember that some of these businesses are locally owned Franchises and might not participate in these discounts.

Many restaurants give Active Military and Veterans a 'Free Meal' on Veterans Day - check out your local restaurants.
