Bill Whittle - Enemies of the State

Bill Whittle walks viewers through the efforts by liberals to politicize murder and terror. Why does the left advance their paranoid mythologies about race and conservatism even when it is irrelevant to the issue at hand? Whether its the Newtown mass murder, or the Boston Marathon terror attacks by radical muslims, liberals always target America and forgive the real enemies. Hear why liberals and the mainstream media love to blame the Tea Party movement and the right for every wrong in America, on this Afterburner.

RG - Who Is Eboo Patel?

Eboo Patel is the founder and Executive Director of Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC), a Chicago-based institution building the global interfaith youth movement. Author of the award-winning book Acts of Faith: The Story of an American Muslim, the Struggle for the Soul of a Generation, Eboo is also a regular contributor to the Washington Post, National Public Radio and CNN. He is a member of President Obama’s Advisory Council of the White House Office of Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, and holds a doctorate in the sociology of religion from Oxford University, where he studied on a Rhodes scholarship.

Army Manual and Evangelicals: in an official manual, the United States Army now lists evangelical Christianity, Catholicism and Islamophobia as forms of religious extremism, along with Al-Qaeda and Hamas (April 2013).

Eboo Patel said this long before Barack Obama appointed Patel as his "Adviser" on Religion. (2008)

Evangelicals as Terrorists:President Barack Obama's "religion czar" and spiritual adviser has likened evangelical Christians to radical Islamists such as al-Qaeda. He has also been heard comparing Rev. Pat Robertson of the Christian Broadcasting Network to Osama bin Laden.

Obama met Patel when they both lived and worked in Chicago. Patel was well-known locally as a Muslim activist and a friend to Rashid Khalid, a Palestinian historian of the Middle East who left Chicago to become the Edward Said Professor of Modern Arab Studies at Columbia University in New York City.

Van Jones praised by Patel:In 2011 Patel depicted Van Jones, the revolutionary communist who had served several months as President Obama's “green jobs” czar, as an “American patriot,” a “faith hero,” and one of “the true giants of history.”

Patel's Radical Connections:In 2005 Patel and several young radicals co-authored the book Letters from Young Activists: Today’s Rebels Speak Out. Among Patel's co-authors were Chesa Boudin (the adopted son of former Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers) and Ismail Khalidi (the son of Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi). The book's Preface was written by Ayers’ wife, Weather Underground co-founder Bernardine Dohrn. The back cover featured an endorsement from the convicted cop-killer and former Black Panther Party member Mumia Abu-Jamal. And on the Acknowledgments page, Patel and his fellow authors thanked Ayers personally for the “guidance” and “encouragement” he had provided.

In 2006 Patel published Building the Interfaith Youth Movement: Beyond Dialogue to Action. The book's Afterword was written by Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, famous for having led an effort to construct a large mosque near the site of the 9/11 attacks in Manhattan.

Muslim Brotherhood Influence in the White House:An Egyptian magazine claims that six American Islamist activists who work with the Obama administration are Muslim Brotherhood operatives who enjoy strong influence over U.S. policy.

The six named people include:
  1. Eboo Patel, a member of President Obama's Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships.
Rose El-Youssef says Patel maintains a close relationship with Hani Ramadan, the grandson of Brotherhood founder Hasan al-Banna, and is a member of the Muslim Students Association, which it identifies as "a large Brotherhood organization."
  2. Arif Alikhan, assistant secretary of Homeland Security for policy development.
Alikhan is a founder of the World Islamic Organization, which the magazine identifies as a Brotherhood "subsidiary." It suggests that Alikhan was responsible for the "file of Islamic states" in the White House and that he provides the direct link between the Obama administration and the Arab Spring revolutions of 2011.
  3. Mohammed Elibiary, a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council.
Elibiary, who has endorsed the ideas of radical Muslim Brotherhood luminary Sayyid Qutb, may have leaked secret materials contained in Department of Homeland Security databases, according to the magazine. He, however, denies having any connection with the Brotherhood. Elibiary also played a role in defining the Obama administration's counterterrorism strategy, and the magazine asserts that Elibiary wrote the speech Obama gave when he told former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to leave power but offers no source or evidence for the claim.
  4. Rashad Hussain, the U.S. special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference.
According to Rose El-Youssef, Rashad Hussain maintained close ties with people and groups that it says comprise the Muslim Brotherhood network in America. This includes his participation in the June 2002 annual conference of the American Muslim Council, formerly headed by convicted terrorist financier Abdurahman Alamoudi. He also participated in the organizing committee of the Critical Islamic Reflection along with important figures of the American Muslim Brotherhood such as Jamal Barzinji, Hisham al-Talib and Yaqub Mirza.
  5. Salam al-Marayati, co-founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC).
Regarding al-Marayati, who has been among the most influential Muslim American leaders in recent years, the magazine draws connections between MPAC in the international Muslim Brotherhood infrastructure.
  6. Imam Mohamed Magid, president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA).
Magid heads ISNA, which was founded by Brotherhood members, was appointed by Obama in 2011 as an adviser to the Department of Homeland Security. The magazine says that has also given speeches and conferences on American Middle East policy at the State Department and offered advice to the FBI.

Jeannie DeAngelis - Michelle Obama Supports Gun Control that Doesn’t Work

First Lady Michelle Obama recently headed home to the Southside of Chicago where she dipped her perfectly exercised toe into the gun violence debate.

Mrs. O arrived in the city that has enacted the most stringent gun-control laws in America to address local business leaders on the problem of gun violence. Oddly, Michelle forgot to consider the possibility that gun legislation is the reason for the high percentage of gun-related deaths in Chicago.

Richard A. Pearson, executive director of the Illinois State Rifle Association, believes that “The gun laws in Chicago only restrict the law-abiding citizens and they’ve essentially made the citizens prey.”

Yet the anti-gun Left keeps on keeping on in the push to make it even more dangerous for law-abiding citizens to defend themselves. The Left’s argument is that stricter gun laws outside of Chicago would ensure that fewer illegal guns make it into Chicago. It’s sort of like the liberal argument that freezing weather is proof of global warming.

David Spielfogel, senior adviser to Hizzoner Rahm Emanuel, agrees and argues that “Chicago is not an island. We’re only as strong as the weakest gun law in surrounding states.” So in other words, if nothing else works to convince Americans to willingly relinquish their Second Amendment rights, what might do the trick is having Michelle Obama stress that dead children in Chicago are only dead because of relaxed gun laws in other states.

That sort of rationale coincides with the bizarre legalistic belief that if you remove junk food from school cafeterias and vending machines, when the chubby kids leave school grounds, rather than mainlining Fluffernutter, raw string beans will become their after-school snack of choice.

And so it seems that the anti-gun lobby is firmly convinced that the cure for gun violence is to nationalize what has failed so miserably in Chicago. Which raises the question: What is it about the Obamas that if something isn’t working, they work on it even harder?

Even more stunning is that supporters of an administration that purposely funneled guns into Mexico are now blaming Chicago’s crime rate on guns making their way into the Windy City from outside the city limits.

That must be why Michelle gave up her fantasy of being BeyoncĂ© for the day, and rather than equate herself with Brian Terry and Jamie Zapata and hundreds of dead Mexicans shot with Eric Holder-provided high-power weapons, said this: “Hadiya Pendleton was me, and I was her.”

Speaking to concerned business leaders, Mama Obama compared herself to “a walking angel” who, soon after attending Obama’s Second Inauguration, was tragically cut down while talking with friends in Vivian Gordon Harsh Park.

After Hadiya’s murder, Michelle rushed to Chicago to attend the teen’s funeral and invited her parents Nate and Cleo to sit beside her in the State of the Union sky box. Excelling at the liberal practice of exploiting death for political purposes, Mrs. Obama reminded her audience that in Chicago burying a child is not unusual and that young people are killed after “wandering onto the wrong street… [or]… standing on their own porch.”

About Hadiya’s funeral, Michelle said:
"Let me tell you, it is hard to know what to say to a room full of teenagers who are about to bury their best friend…I told them that there is a reason that we’re here on this earth, that each of us has a mission in this world, and I urged them to use their lives to give meaning to Hadiya’s life."
Clearly, Mrs. Obama believes she has a “mission in this world,” and that that self-appointed mission involves assisting her husband in mitigating the Constitutional rights of law-abiding Americans. So to accomplish that goal, posing as an anti-gun raconteur Michelle relayed the heart-wrenching story of Hadiya’s untimely death.

According to Shelley O, “Hadiya’s family did everything right, but she still didn’t have a chance.” And so, because Cleo and Nate couldn’t keep their child safe, liberals like Michelle Obama who hold the collective view that our children are their children plan to step in to implement legislation they mistakenly believe saves lives.

Hey somebody, please tell Michelle Obama that while she was in Chicago speaking to business leaders about eliminating gun violence, an unarmed lunatic in Texas stabbed 14 people with a knife.

In Chicago, the first lady’s work was to get business leaders to agree that in the long run the survival of a future little Michelle Obama far outweighs the preservation of the tenets and freedoms that have abided for two centuries in the US Constitution.

The first lady’s purpose in going to Chicago was not to discuss reality, nor was it to reveal intriguing autobiographical insights about how she and Hadiya Pendleton are a lot alike. Instead, the true purpose of the trip was to prod America further along the road toward a society whose power-hungry government claims it’s attempting to eradicate gun violence by disarming its people.

CPAC 2013 - Phyllis Schlafy

Conservative legend Phyllis Schlafly told the Conservative Political Action Conference that the Republican establishment had given America a series of losers as presidential candidates over the last two decades. Schlafly, who founded Eagle Forum and has been a leader of the Conservative Movement for more than four decades, said the establishment tries to enforce “certain criteria” on their candidates.

“First of all, they only want candidates who will vote the way they’re told to vote, and we like to have ones who will go down there and stir up a little trouble and make sure they vote no,” she said. “You know they’re blaming Ted Cruz for voting no on everything that’s come up. Well good for him!”

Schlafly challenged political consultants like Karl Rove, who founded the super PAC American Crossroads, over their losing record.

“Now one of their chief spokesman was Karl Rove, and he had almost $400 million to spend on the election last year, and he ran TV ads for 31 candidates and only elected seven of them. That’s a pretty bad record. If you had a football coach with that kind of score, I don’t think you’d keep him the next year,” she said.

Schlafly said the other mistake that the establishment made was focusing its spending on television ads while neglecting get-out-the-vote efforts.

“And the running of the TV ads is kind of profitable to those who pick the ads, but it isn’t doing the job. There are a lot of people who don’t even watch TV anymore,” she said.

“Why is it that the establishment has given us this bunch of losers?” Schlafly said. “The establishment has given us a whole series of losers: Bob Dole and John McCain and Mitt Romney.

"And even when they picked a winner--George W. Bush--they picked somebody who spent more than the Democrats,” she said.

Wayne LaPierre - the Real Consequences of Universal Background Checks

In addressing a crowd at the 2013 Western Hunting and Conservation Expo in Salt Lake City, Utah, NRA CEO and EVP Wayne LaPierre says that universal background checks are at the heart of the Obama administration's anti-gun agenda. While that may sound reasonable, background checks are aimed at one thing — registering your guns. "When another tragic 'opportunity' presents itself," says LaPierre, "that registry will be used to confiscate your guns."

William Sullivan - Weighing the Gun Control Argument

Originally posted at American Thinker.
It is a bit misleading to call our current national discussion about gun control a "debate." Simply put, politicians and the media directing the discussion aren't interested in evidence or conclusions contrary to those that they have a vested interest in disseminating. They are interested merely in silencing any opposition, and they rely on their devoted acolytes to continue empowering them to do so.

It's about belief for these acolytes, not proof. Because they believe in the moral imperative, whether or not facts support their beliefs is unimportant. They just blindly accept that what they've been told is true, and they look upon those who believe otherwise as dangerous heretics.

Yet in a somewhat intellectually quixotic self-perception, these gun-control zealots declare themselves the rational thinkers on the subject and believe their conclusions infallible, despite the fact that the hypotheses to which they are so devoted are rarely measured in the crucible of evidence.

Consider the most basic of their arguments -- that access to guns needs to be restricted by the government, because access to guns is the most convincing variable that determines murder rates in our society. Let's just briefly weigh that assertion in the balance, and see how well it holds up to scrutiny.

In 1960, data suggests that there were roughly 77.5 million guns owned by a population of just over 179 million, meaning that there was somewhere in the neighborhood of 4.3 guns per 10 Americans. In that year, the murder rate in America was roughly 5.1 per 100,000 Americans.

Fast-forward to 2009. According to a Congressional Research Service report by William J. Krouse, 310 million guns were owned by Americans in that year by a population estimated to be 307 million, meaning there were probably more guns in America than there were Americans.

Now pause a moment, and remember that gun-control advocates contend that there exists a positive correlation between the number of readily accessible guns and the number of murders. If true, we might expect such a surge in gun ownership (and guns that are owned are as readily accessible as guns get) to yield a much higher murder rate. But in fact, the murder rate was lower in 2009 than in 1960 -- at 5.0 per 100,000 Americans.

Such inconsistency and an obviously flawed hypothesis might send a reasonable person back to the drawing board. But gun control zealots just double down and get more specific. Currently, the fashionable tactic is to appear a bit centrist by suggesting that it's not all guns or the Second Amendment that they oppose, but rather just those scary looking semi-automatic guns people call "assault weapons" and high-capacity magazines. No one needs that kind of gun, and no one needs to fire that many bullets, they argue.

In terms of the practical purpose of the Second Amendment -- that is, the preservation of individual liberty -- it should be obvious, as I have argued before, why such weapons and such payloads are essential, and explicit in the verbiage of the Second Amendment is unquestionable proof that the federal government has no legal right to infringe upon a law-abiding American's right to own them. But since it is a common objection among the left that supporters of gun rights cling to their archaic Constitution (or that "little book," as Piers Morgan calls it), rather than just accepting the idea that a new assault weapons ban would curtail violence, let's examine a bit of data surrounding their claim.

That data can tell a pretty simple story to those willing to hear it. The 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban expired in 2004, and in that year, the murder rate was 5.5 per 100,000 Americans. In 2011, that murder rate had declined to 4.7 per 100,000 Americans, which, incidentally, is the lowest murder rate in nearly four decades. If the laws banning "assault weapons" were so incredibly effective, why have murder rates significantly fallen since it expired? Not only did the federal government lift laws restricting "assault weapons," but since then, many states expanded "concealed carry" rights, meaning that guns were all the more prevalent in public life during these years, with both criminals and the law-abiding being totally aware of that fact -- and the result was a lower murder rate.

This is not to say the data shows a constant trend opposite of the one that gun control advocates suggest. Murder rates have vacillated in big swings throughout the years, sometimes rising, sometimes falling, despite the fact that gun ownership has steadily increased. Therefore, we must accept that more guns don't always result in less murder, either, in terms of the data. The point, however, is that the primary hypotheses that are the foundation of current gun control arguments are fatally flawed. Neither the presence of guns (whether semi-automatic or outfitted with a large payload) nor the laws restricting them (which lawless murderers invariably ignore) are the most convincing variable that determines rates of murder in this country.

It would certainly be valuable to have a discussion about how we can best reduce incidents of murder in America. But it should be a discussion based upon reason, not emotional agendas to rob Americans of their fundamental liberties based upon specious and unsubstantiated arguments. There are far more convincing variables to explain high rates of murder, whether we're talking about large quantities of unheralded murders or isolated and sensationalized killing sprees. And regarding the latter, considering that it has recently surfaced that Adam Lanza's likely motivation for the massacre in Newtown was to surpass Oslo spree-killer Anders Breivik in notoriety, it might make sense that we examine the practical impact of the self-centered nature of our culture that values celebrity above all things. And maybe it is a good idea to address the media's sensationalism of the actions of demented spree-killers like Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, Seung-Hui Cho, Jared Loughner, Anders Breivik, and Aurora shooter James Holmes, all of whom were granted larger-than-life notoriety by the media for their actions.

But at these suggestions, gun control advocates generally return full circle to that flawed argument with which we began -- that fewer guns and more gun control are the answer to curtail murder in America. It's as if the above-mentioned data roundly disproving the claim never existed, and they go on arguing their hypothesis in other ways, like comparing this place that has gun control to that place that doesn't.

For example, gun-control advocates are very quick to point out that England has a lower murder rate than America and extremely restrictive gun control laws. Notably absent from these keen observations, however, is the multitude of comparisons where the opposite is true, such as a comparison between America and, say, Russia, which has extremely strict gun control laws and few guns, but a murder rate that eclipses our own.

Of course, they generally neglect to use domestic examples, too, and with good reason -- the opposite of their contention is almost invariably true in domestic comparisons. Urban areas, for example, typically have stricter gun control laws and lower rates of gun ownership than rural areas, yet they have much higher murder rates. And then there is the glaring example of Obama's hometown, Chicago, which proudly touts its extremely progressive gun control laws while owning the highest murder rate in the nation. But that doesn't stop the devout masses from cheering in passionate agreement when the president suggests, with a repetitive cadence that would make Goebbels proud, that Chicago-style gun regulation be applied federally.

The implication of such ignorance is too grave to find any humor in that sad irony.

The hypothesis we should be discussing is that cultural factors are much more convincing variables correlating to murder rates. Take the consideration that widespread poverty and unemployment could have potentially contributed to the spike in murder rates in the late seventies, or that the proliferation of a culture of gang violence likely contributed to the sustained high murder rates in the early nineties, or the possibility that our current culture of celebrity and sensationalized violence is perhaps now leading to isolated spree-killing endeavors, if one is to take Adam Lanza's supposed motive into consideration.

If there is to be any progress in the gun control "debate," America must forego the commonly held fallacy that gun regulations upon the law-abiding will regulate the lawless. Until then, we may be doomed to have reasonable arguments against gun control fall on deaf ears.

Why is Gun Control An Important Issue?

Gun Control is Genocide. Why? Because throughout history, citizen disarmament has always been a precursor of mass genocide carried out by government gone bad. The term for it is "democide."
In the last century, governments have murdered 262 million people -- far more than have died on the battlefield in all the wars combined. Government becomes extremely dangerous when it controls all the firepower while the citizenry controls none. This imbalance of power leads to genocide.

The Second Amendment is the one right that defends all other rights.

Sen. Marco Rubio Responds to State of the Union with Fox and Friends

Tuesday night (2-12-13), Florida Senator Marco Rubio delivered the GOP rebuttal to President Obama’s State of the Union address.

At one point during his remarks, Rubio grabbed a bottle of water – a move that’s garnered much attention online.

Wednesday on Fox and Friends, Rubio offered a simple explanation – “My mouth got dry.”

“You know when you give a speech, you have a podium and the water is right there, but when you don’t, you start looking around and [thinking] ‘Where am I going to get the water from’ […] I figured I was better off taking that water and taking the hit for it then being unable to pronounce my word at the end of it,” he told Steve Doocy.

Rubio also took on some of the proposals outlined in President Obama’s address – see what he had to say below.

Doug Giles - The Obama Ogling Cop Killer Is Using Assault Weapons with High Capacity Mags

Gun control zealots state that we (the serfs of Obamaland) shouldn’t have “assault weapons with high capacity magazines” because we don’t “need” them. And these wizards—who don’t know diddly about guns—know exactly what we need. Oh, yes they do, girlfriend.

If you don’t believe me just ask them. They’ll tell you what kind of guns you should and shouldn’t have even though their bodyguards and their children’s bodyguards have the exact battery that they forbid us to build.

“Why can they live in a dynamic state of duplicity,” you ask? Well, Dinky, it’s because they are more special than us common rubes, us po’ uneducated, unevolved, knuckle draggers who still believe in silly, silly things like God and … and … liberty.

To these Hambones the Bill of Rights is the Bill of Needs, and they’re the self-appointed arbiters of what we need and don’t need, so ipso facto step-n-fetch monkeys, do what they say. Achtung.

Isn’t that simple? Gosh. They make it so easy for us. Why, thank you Mr. Gun Control Freak, thank you.

Yep, they inform us that we don’t need semi-auto weapons for self defense or hunting, which sounds great and all until you run into some Leftist lunatic, like the disgraced ex-cop, Christopher Dorner, who’s killing LAPD and their kids with … you got it … assault weapons with high capacity magazines.

Indeed, this past week another liberal went on a shooting spree, exacting revenge for cops firing him. BTW, what happened to taking a Tony Robbins class and rising to whatever occasion once life craps on you? Nowadays, if we go broke or get busted or bested because of whatever reason, instead of feeling like a dbag and taking reproof and responsibility some whiners instead shoot up a cop’s kids or kill kindergarteners.

Speaking of Dorner, did you know that this cat posted a rambling manifesto via Facebook on why he’s murdering folks? You did?

Did you know he likes Tebow and that rascal Charlie Sheen? You did? Okay, let’s crank things up a few notches.

Did you know that the anti-Christian cop killer has a huge crush on Obama, Biden, Piers Morgan, MSNBC, CNN, Hillary Clinton and the Assault Weapons Ban? Gotcha, didn’t I? Of course you didn’t know that because that would make the Left look bad, and Lame Stream Media is running interference for these folks. At the time of my typing there have been muy poquito media mentions of Dorner doting over liberal leadership and their policies. Question: Do you think Chris Matthews would have brought up these ditties if the killer had a thing for Mitt Romney? Or Rush Limbaugh? Or Hannity? Or the NRA?

Also, I’ve got a question for the anti-gun obsessed (yet heavily guarded) Piers Morgan in light of the deadly atmosphere his fan Chris has created in SoCal:

What do you, Captain Morgan, recommend southern Californians do to protect themselves and their families against a trained rogue cop with a high capacity assault weapon? Should they use pepper spray? What about a whistle? How about scissors like DHS recommended during school massacres?

Now check this out: It is within this atmosphere of asininity that Progressives want “We the People” to walk away from high capacity magazines. You’ve got to be kidding me. If there ever was a time when we needed 30-shot mags … well, it is here and now because we’ve got a stack of whiny wussies who are offended to the point of mass murder if they get fired from a job or if you don’t like their nude photos they send you via Facebook.

Look, as long as we live in America the Touchy, I’m a thinking, hey, gun dealer, I’ll take an AR-15 and a few dozen 30-round magazines, por favor. Y’know, like the thousands Eric Holder gave to the Mexican drug lords in Operation Fast & Furious?

NRA on Gun Control at Senate Hearings

"Mr. Chairman and Members of the Committee: It's an honor to be here today on behalf of more than 4.5 million moms and dads and sons and daughters, in every state across our nation, who make up the National Rifle Association of America. Those 4.5 million active members are joined by tens of millions of NRA supporters.

And it's on behalf of those millions of decent, hardworking, law-abiding citizens ... to give voice to their concerns ... that I'm here today.

The title of today's hearing is "What should America do about gun violence?"

We believe the answer to that question is to be honest about what works — and what doesn't work. Teaching safe and responsible gun ownership works — and the NRA has a long and proud history of teaching it.

Our "Eddie Eagle" children's safety program has taught over 25 million young children that if they see a gun, they should do four things: "Stop. Don't touch. Leave the area. Tell an adult." As a result of this and other private sector programs, fatal firearm accidents are at the lowest levels in more than 100 years.

The NRA has over 80,000 certified instructors who teach our military personnel, law enforcement officers and hundreds of thousands of other American men and women how to safely use firearms. We do more — and spend more — than anyone else on teaching safe and responsible gun ownership.

We joined the nation in sorrow over the tragedy that occurred in Newtown, Connecticut. There is nothing more precious than our children. We have no more sacred duty than to protect our children and keep them safe. That's why we asked former Congressman and Undersecretary of Homeland Security, Asa Hutchison, to bring in every expert available to develop a model School Shield Program — one that can be individually tailored to make our schools as safe as possible.

It's time to throw an immediate blanket of security around our children. About a third of our schools have armed security already — because it works. And that number is growing. Right now, state officials, local authorities and school districts in all 50 states are considering their own plans to protect children in their schools.

In addition, we need to enforce the thousands of gun laws that are currently on the books. Prosecuting criminals who misuse firearms works. Unfortunately, we've seen a dramatic collapse in federal gun prosecutions in recent years. Overall in 2011, federal weapons prosecutions per capita were down 35 percent from their peak in the previous administration. That means violent felons, gang members and the mentally ill who possess firearms are not being prosecuted. And that's unacceptable.

And out of more than 76,000 firearms purchases denied by the federal instant check system, only 62 were referred for prosecution and only 44 were actually prosecuted. Proposing more gun control laws — while failing to enforce the thousands we already have — is not a serious solution to reducing crime.

I think we can also agree that our mental health system is broken. We need to look at the full range of mental health issues, from early detection and treatment, to civil commitment laws, to privacy laws that needlessly prevent mental health records from being included in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System.

While we're ready to participate in a meaningful effort to solve these pressing problems, we must respectfully — but honestly and firmly — disagree with some members of this committee, many in the media, and all of the gun control groups on what will keep our kids and our streets safe.

Law-abiding gun owners will not accept blame for the acts of violent or deranged criminals. Nor do we believe the government should dictate what we can lawfully own and use to protect our families.

As I said earlier, we need to be honest about what works and what does not work. Proposals that would only serve to burden the law-abiding have failed in the past and will fail in the future.

Semi-automatic firearms have been around for over 100 years. They are among the most popular guns made for hunting, target shooting and self-defense. Despite this fact, Congress banned the manufacture and sale of hundreds of semi-automatic firearms and magazines from 1994 to 2004. Independent studies, including a study from the Clinton Justice Department, proved that ban had no impact on lowering crime.

And when it comes to the issue of background checks, let's be honest — background checks will never be "universal" — because criminals will never submit to them.

But there are things that can be done and we ask you to join with us. The NRA is made up of millions of Americans who support what works ... the immediate protection for all — not just some — of our school children; swift, certain prosecution of criminals with guns; and fixing our broken mental health system.

We love our families and our country. We believe in our freedom. We're the millions of Americans from all walks of life who take responsibility for our own safety and protection as a God-given, fundamental right.

Mr. Chairman and members of the Committee, I thank you for your time and consideration."

Sheriff Paul Babeu Standing against Obama for America

Sherrif Paul Babeu penned a letter to President Obama refusing to enforce his laws and telling him, “You are not a dictator or a king, who can act unilaterally and ignore our legislative process of law making.”

Full Text of Letter:Dear Mr. President,
Last year, I was re-elected overwhelmingly to my second term as Sheriff of Pinal County, Arizona. The citizens of Pinal County have placed their sacred trust into my hands and the hands of my office to keep them and their families safe.

Our nation has seen several tragic attacks against innocent adults and children by criminals armed with guns. Because of these attacks, many politicians including yourself have used these tragic events as a means to push their agenda related to "gun control."

America has seen an even higher number of our citizens killed by impaired drivers involved in automobile collisions. Why are you not seeking to remove vehicles from our roadways?….it's because you realize it's the drivers who are at fault and not the vehicle they were driving. This same analogy holds true with these shootings….it's not the gun that's at fault but rather the criminals who use them.

Do you honestly feel that any criminal or someone who is mentally ill will obey an executive order made by you related to "gun control?" Criminals get their name, because they don't follow our laws already Mr. President. I have sworn a solemn oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America when I was first sworn in as an Army Private, later as an Army Officer, then as a Police Officer and now twice as the constitutionally elected Sheriff. You too Mr. President have taken the same oath, therefore I am gravelly alarmed - just as most Americans are that you would attempt to circumvent the Constitution of the United States.

The most important office in our republic is that of a private citizen. You are not a dictator or a king, who can act unilaterally and ignore our legislative process of law making. All elected leaders are empowered as a trustee of the people we are elected to serve. We are given designated and limited powers. Your actions and quest for unconstitutional power threatens the future of our sacred Republic and the Liberty we all hold so dear. Your own administration during, "Operation Fast and Furious" facilitated and approved the transfer of over 2,000 weapons to the Mexican Drug Cartels who the Mexican Government is at war against and over
60,000 people have been killed. Those same weapons have made their way back into the United States and have been used to kill and injure our citizens and members of law enforcement, yet now you threaten to use an executive order to take away the 2nd Amendment Rights of our citizens?

Mr. President, if you attempt to carry through with your proposal, it will hinder the ability of good citizens to defend and protect themselves and others against those who wish to cause them harm through the use of deadly force. Your actions would turn many good citizens, who wish to maintain their God given Constitutional Rights to bear arms, into criminals.

I am writing you this letter today to inform you that any "law" or regulation created by an executive order of your office which is contrary to what the Constitution of the United States of America says, shall be deemed as unlawful and shall not be carried out by myself or my office.

I will also push for legislation which would make it a crime for any federal law enforcement officer to infringe upon any of Constitutional rights of the citizens I am sworn to protect. Neither myself nor you have any right to infringe upon the 2nd Amendment Constitutional Rights of our citizens. Former President Ronald Regan said it best, "The right of the citizen to keep and bear arms must not be infringed if liberty in America is to survive."
With grave concern,
Paul Babeu, Sheriff
Pinal County, Arizona

Barack Obama to Top Brass: Will you fire on American Citizens?

NOTE from RG: At this point in time there is NO credible method for me to authenticate or disprove this information. I decided to publish this and let you decide for yourself.

The Obama administration is openly escalating its campaign against private gun ownership, and shaking up the top ranks of the military command structure -- but is it also preparing to make war on the American population? According to a person identified as a former senior military official, the answer to that shocking question is yes.

Interview Length 21:19

World-renowned educator and human rights activist Jim Garrow says that the source, a man regarded as "one of America's foremost military heroes," told him that President Obama is using a new litmus test for "determining who will stay and who must go" among top-ranked military leaders. That test is whether they will fire on US citizens or not. Garrow says that his source made the disclosure in order to "sound the alarm" over the administration's plans.

While Garrow will not yet reveal the identity of the source, it's important to note that Garrow himself is a man of considerable accomplishment. He is the founder of the Bethune Institute, which has established hundreds of schools throughout China. Three years ago, he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his work though a group called Pink Pagoda, which combat "gendercide" in China -- that is, the practice of rescuing baby girls who had been abandoned or targeted for infanticide because of the government's one-child policy. He was personally involved in helping to save the lives of more than 50,000 Chinese girls. He joins Gary Franchi on WHDT World News to discuss this new "Litmus Test."

Gangs Poison the United States with Violence - Murder and Rape

The FBI reports there are some 33,000 violent street gangs, motorcycle gangs, and prison gangs with about 1.4 million members criminally active in the U.S. today. Many are sophisticated and well organized; all use violence for control and too boost their illegal money-making activities, which include robbery, drug and gun trafficking, fraud, extortion, and prostitution rings.

While Barack Obama and his Administration are concentrating on restricting and seizing Guns from law-abiding Citizens; gangs are responsible for most of the violent crime in the United States.

The Barack Obama Administration has armed vicious Mexican Drug Cartels and MS 13 (which many consider the most vicious and violent gang in the World), with assault weapons through the Obama 'Fast and Furious' program.

MS 13:MS-13, whose formal name is Mara Salvatrucha, is one of the largest Hispanic street gangs in the nation. According to the 2009 National Gang Threat Assessment, there could be as many as 50,000 MS-13 members worldwide, with 10,000 members in the United States. The gang is known for its highly violent ways, and members are involved in all kinds of illegal activities, including drugs, robbery, extortion, weapons trafficking, and murder.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Tampa Field Division, ran a gun-running investigation that was walking guns to Honduras using the techniques and tactics identical to Fast and Furious. 1,000 of those guns were sold to MS13 buyers.

Obama and Holder Sold Guns to MS13

The Honduras connection:But even Lajeunesse does not have half the story. David Codrea at Examiner.com, and his colleague Mike Vanderboegh, broke the other half. The Special Agent-in-charge of ATF’s Tampa, FL office was running guns into Honduras using the same techniques as Operation Fast and Furious. The clues go back to September 21, 2010, nearly nine months ago. Kurt Hoffman, also at Examiner.com, reported two and a half months ago that Mexican drug cartels were getting their guns from south of Mexico, not north. Now we know that those guns were coming from the United States government.
Assault Weapons from South of Mexico:The civilian gun market in the United States is a 'Minor' supplier of assault weapons to Gangs and Drug Cartels.
Mexican Drug Cartels and Gangs i.e. MS 13 are looting military arsenals in Central America, giving them powerful weapons that run the gamut from assault rifles to anti-tank missiles.
Why would a Mexican drug syndicate rely on an arms supply that required recruiting and paying "straw purchasers" in the U.S., buying semi-automatic rifles and handguns at retail prices, and smuggling them across the border, when they can clean out entire armories (through bribes, theft, or by simply overwhelming the guards), yielding select-fire rifles by the dozen, machine guns, grenades, and anti-tank weapons?
Barack Obama knows that the Government cannot pass ANY laws that would stop violent gangs from arming themselves with assault weapons and/or automatic military weapons. Drug Cartels and gangs exist and flourish by breaking and ignoring the law.

Barack Obama is using the 'Sandy Hook Tragedy' to disarm law abiding citizens and come one step closer to 'Changing the Fundamentals' of the United States from Freedom and Liberty to a Marxist/Socialist Country where government Controls everything.

Jeannie DeAngelis - ‘Savage Love’ and the Anti-Bullying Bully

Prior to hearing anti-bullying ‘It Gets Better’ founder/“Savage Love” sex advice columnist/gay activist/guest of Barack Obama Dan Savage ridicule Christian students and demean the Bible, I had no idea that bullying is perfectly acceptable as long as you’re bullying Christian kids.

Guest speaker Dan Savage was supposed to be sharing an anti-bullying message at the National High School Journalism Conference sponsored by the Journalism Education Association (JEA) and the National Scholastic Press Association. Instead, he used the opportunity to exercise his civic duty and bully the kids who came to the conference from Christian schools in the area.

Rick Tuttle, the journalism advisor for Sutter Union High School, said “I thought this would be about anti-bullying.” Well, that it was! In this case harassment fits the criteria for “anti-bullying,” because according to Mr. Savage, the God of the Bible is one big bully and He and His ignorant followers need to be exposed. Therefore, it was only natural and fitting that a high school journalism conference would turn “into a pointed attack on Christian beliefs.

After Savage, Bible scholar and “Evolve Already” promoter of marriage equality for gays, attempted to savage Leviticus, Romans and the Apostle Paul, 100 offended high school students stood up and slowly filed out of the conference.

As a result, feeling bullied by students turning their back on him and refusing to listen to his biased tirade, the anti-bullying speaker “began cursing, attacked the Bible and reportedly called those who refused to listen to his rant “pansy assed.”

In other words, for lack of a coliseum filled with hungry lions, the sensitive, accepting, anti-bullying advocate Dan the savage all but attempted to drag100 kids out onto the schoolyard, clobber them with a baseball bat and then, when they raised their hands to thwart the attack, to further the cause of acceptance and love he called them “pansy asses.”

Rick Tuttle described the incident this way: “It became hostile. It felt hostile as we were sitting in the audience – especially towards Christians who espouse beliefs that he was literally taking on.” According to the journalism advisor, the ‘anti-bullying’ speech was “laced with vulgarities and ‘sexual innuendo not appropriate for this age group.’”

At one point, Tuttle said, Savage described for the teenagers about how “good his male partner looked in a Speedo.” No problem! Every anti-bullying advocate is well aware that shocking and making kids squirm awkwardly in their seats is key when addressing the issue of bullying.

Moreover, one can’t help but wonder if Savage shared with others his appreciation for his ‘husband’s’ physique in swimming attire when he and his spouse Terry Miller were part of the festivities at President Obama’s 2011 LGBT Pride Month reception.

According to one 17-year-old girl in attendance, some of “Savage Love’s” journalism advice included telling the kiddies that “I hope you’re all using birth control…[that]… there are people using the Bible as an excuse for gay bullying, because it says in Leviticus and Romans that being gay is wrong,” and that they can “ignore all the (expletive deleted) in the Bible.”

Without personally knowing any of the children who excused themselves, apparently Savage felt justified berating them as non-bullying students in attendance “hollered and cheered” in approval. Smarmily and sarcastically, after he was done “beating up the Bible” and beating up Bible-believing kids, he said:
"You can tell the Bible guys in the hall they can come back now because I’m done beating up the Bible. It’s funny as someone who is on the receiving end of beatings that are justified by the Bible how pansy-assed people react when you push back."
Reverting back to compassionate liberalism as most liberals do, Savage did eventually say he was sorry “if [he] hurt anyone’s feelings.” Obviously feeling threatened in a room full of teenagers, after apologizing Savage did justify his actions by pointing out that “I have a right to defend myself and to point out the hypocrisy of people who justify anti-gay bigotry by pointing to the Bible and insisting we must live by the code of Leviticus on this one issue and no other.”

What was the National Scholastic Press Association’s (NSPA) response to Savage singling out Christianity, the Bible, and Christian children who thought they were going to a journalism conference?
"We appreciate the level of thoughtfulness and deliberation regarding Dan Savage’s keynote address. Some audience members who felt hurt by his words and tone decided to leave in the middle of his speech, and to this, we want to make our point very clear: While as a journalist it’s important to be able to listen to speech that offends you, these students and advisers had simply reached their tolerance level for what they were willing to hear."
How open-minded of the NSPA. Maybe next year, in the interest of fairness, they can have a Christian journalist come to the conference and single out a few gay students. With strict instructions to rebuke them freely but only to increase “their tolerance for what they are willing to hear,” he or she can then seat them in the front of the auditorium and force them to have Scripture “thoughtfully and deliberately” read to them from the book of Leviticus and Paul’s letter to the Romans.

In the end, this was yet just another example of liberal hypocrisy and bias, and above all a perfect illustration of jugular-vein justice by those who deem themselves accepting and intelligent.

Nonetheless, one question does come to mind here: Will Mr. Obama be phoning the children who were called “pansy-asses” by his White House guest a la Sandra Fluke, and then mention later at a press conference how terribly his Christian daughters Sasha and Malia would feel being singled out and insulted in such a public way?
