You've read the alarming news about the Justice Department's request for hospitals to turn over the private medical records of dozens of patients.

This cynical ploy is designed to intimidate a group of physicians and force them to drop their lawsuit seeking to have the so-called partial birth abortion ban ruled unconstitutional.

The fact remains, with no provision to protect the health of the mother, this ban on a legitimate medical procedure is clearly unconstitutional and must be overturned.

Attorney General Ashcroft and president bush believe so zealously in their cause that the privacy rights of patients are under assault.

They believe we have no federal right to privacy when it concerns our medical histories.

On March 16th, we have a chance to nominate a candidate who will be tireless in the fight to protect women.

It isn't simply about the right to choose, or privacy rights. It is about pay equity, about ending domestic violence, promoting health care around the world, and letting doctors decide treatment options, not federal judges..."

Plan B is not just a controversial morning-after pill; it's also an effort on Michelle Obama's part to paint anyone who doesn't agree with her husband's restrictive gun measures as people who are willing to force children to live their lives in terror. Michelle attempted to paint that picture during an interview with Lee Cowan on "CBS Sunday Morning," when she dredged up sob stories from her gun violence visit to Chicago last month.

The first lady said that after delivering her speech on gun violence in April, she was amazed at the extent to which Chicago's children were forced to live in subjugation to the fear of being shot. Thus, the unspoken premise of Michelle Obama's comments is that the cure for children in Chicago being dominated by the fear of being killed by a stray bullet is to subjugate the entire nation's Second Amendment rights.

Michelle shared that students at Harper High School in Englewood, Illinois told her, "Every day they wake up and wonder whether they're going to make it out of school alive." Mrs. Obama said, "I mean, every single kid worries about their own death, or the death of someone, every single day." Michelle Obama uttering those words is a prime example of liberal duplicity. This is a woman who supports 3,500 babies a day being aborted, and she's preaching to us about teenagers who, no thanks to her or her husband, miraculously made it out of the womb alive -- not making it out of school alive?

To add insult to injury, Mrs. Obama then said "we" have an "obligation to these kids" to try again. When Mrs. Obama uses words like "obligation to these..." anything, it's a clear sign that hubby, on behalf of some victimized group, believes he is bound to a higher authority than Congress and is probably out searching desperately for some way to circumvent the law.

Michelle Obama, savior of America's children, then pointed out, "We have millions of kids living in these kinds of circumstances who are doing everything right." What she forgot to mention was that, despite restrictive gun laws already in place, children living in Chicago "who are doing everything right" will still be victimized by those in Chicago, children or otherwise, who will continue to do everything wrong.

Bordering on tears, the first lady went on to say: "And we, as a nation, have to embrace these kids and let them know that we hear them, and see them." Disregard that "we as a nation" part, because rest assured, Mrs. Obama believes that no one except her and her husband hear and see the fearful children of Chicago. And only those who adhere to the liberal vision have the power and authority to quell anxiety by finding a way to restrict the ability of the nation's gun owners to exercise their right to "keep and bear arms."

Ratcheting up the sympathy factor yet another notch, Michelle then shared with a sycophantic Lee Cowan that "One kid told me he felt like he lived in a cage, because he feels like his community is unseen, unheard and nobody cares about it." What that caged kid probably hasn't realized just yet is that the first lady of the United States comes to Chicago regularly to use the "unseen, unheard" and uncared-for children of the Windy City as stage props to help push a progressive gun agenda.

Speaking of guns, Barry visited Mexico where, thanks to him and Eric Holder, it's even worse than Chicago when it comes to gun violence. Careful not to mention beheadings and machetes in his speech, Obama did suggest to a rapt audience of Mexican students that gun control would save lives on both sides of the border. Ohhh... so that explains why the president decided not to control gunrunners taking illegal high-capacity rifles from one side of the border to the other.

In a rare moment of honesty, Obama did acknowledge his own involvement in supplying Mexico with guns when he said, "Most of the guns used to commit violence here in Mexico come from the United States." No Shiite, Sherlock.

Then the president gave the crowd an impromptu refresher course on the U.S. Constitution, saying, "I think many of you know that in America, our Constitution guarantees our individual right to bear arms. And as president, I swore an oath to uphold that right, and I always will." While pushing amnesty in Mexico, what he didn't do was explain how United States immigration law works. Trawling for future voters, the president chose to conveniently skip that particular lesson.

Instead, immediately following the mini-course on the Second Amendment came the 'but' portion of the president's speech, which is also known as the unofficial 'Obama clarification.' That's where an unspoken 'but' cues the president to insert an addendum that corrects what he perceives to be one of the fundamental flaws in the Constitution.

Obama then said "At the same time (which is really a 'but'), as I've said in the United States, I will continue to do everything in my power to pass common-sense reforms," (which are really 'Barack Obama-approved modifications') "that keep guns out of the hands of criminals and dangerous people," (that would be law-abiding Americans) "that can save lives here in Mexico and back home in the United States. It's the right thing to do."

Sorry, Mr. President, it's a little too late to 'do the right thing.' Why wasn't that option proposed prior to illegally arming drug cartels with AK-47s? Who knows, maybe some of those guns have even made their way up to Illinois where your wife is now claiming we need to make an effort to "embrace... hear and see" Chicago's terrified children who live each day in fear of being shot.

Doug Giles - The Boston Terrorists were Muslims-Please Forward this to Chris Matthews

I’m not really in the mood to write a column. The reason why I’m in a foul disposition is I just saw the picture, taken a few minutes before the Boston blast, of the Muslim POS, better known as “Suspect #2”, dropping off his backpack filled with a pressure cooker bomb right behind eight-year-old Martin Richard, his little sister Jane, his mom Denise and scores of others. This image made me both sick and pissed off.

Minutes after this picture was captured, as we now know, Martin would have nails and buckshot blast his body to smithereens, Jane would have her little leg severed from her frame and their mom would have shrapnel penetrate her head at 3300 feet per second -- leaving both her and little Jane clinging to life and Martin dead on the street. This left me thinking: “What kind of jacked up people do this kind of crap?”

Well, by and large, it is the “Religion of Peace” who does this kind of crap with great regularity, that’s who.

If you’re not hearing this on the evening news please allow me to inform you that two Muslim young men did this. Not right-wingers, as Chris Matthews and Peter Bergen predicted early on. Not Evangelicals or Catholics as the DHS has warned Americans repeatedly to be on the look out for. Nor was it your generic “angry white bogey man” that Salon’s writer David Sirota had hoped; but at least two male Muslims between the ages of 18-35.

I say “at least two” because early on there was a Saudi national that everyone was real interested in who, by the way, will be deported next week. This is the same cat that Michelle Obama secretly visited in the hospital last Thursday. I sure wish that young Saudi male could hang out a few more days here in the states and we could have someone seriously interrogate him; but alas, Big Government says he’s got to go back home and quick.

How quaint. And how strange…

As stated at the outset of this screed, I’m in no mood to write. However, I would like to wrap this piece up by saying two more things: One -- my prayers are with the victims of this baseless slaughter of innocent human lives by Muslim men, again. And Two – you can bet your last buck that if I see a backpack dropped off by a religion of peacer behind a crowd of kids I’m going to tackle that mule.

Call me judgmental.

Jeannie DeAngelis - Michelle Obama Supports Gun Control that Doesn’t Work

First Lady Michelle Obama recently headed home to the Southside of Chicago where she dipped her perfectly exercised toe into the gun violence debate.

Mrs. O arrived in the city that has enacted the most stringent gun-control laws in America to address local business leaders on the problem of gun violence. Oddly, Michelle forgot to consider the possibility that gun legislation is the reason for the high percentage of gun-related deaths in Chicago.

Richard A. Pearson, executive director of the Illinois State Rifle Association, believes that “The gun laws in Chicago only restrict the law-abiding citizens and they’ve essentially made the citizens prey.”

Yet the anti-gun Left keeps on keeping on in the push to make it even more dangerous for law-abiding citizens to defend themselves. The Left’s argument is that stricter gun laws outside of Chicago would ensure that fewer illegal guns make it into Chicago. It’s sort of like the liberal argument that freezing weather is proof of global warming.

David Spielfogel, senior adviser to Hizzoner Rahm Emanuel, agrees and argues that “Chicago is not an island. We’re only as strong as the weakest gun law in surrounding states.” So in other words, if nothing else works to convince Americans to willingly relinquish their Second Amendment rights, what might do the trick is having Michelle Obama stress that dead children in Chicago are only dead because of relaxed gun laws in other states.

That sort of rationale coincides with the bizarre legalistic belief that if you remove junk food from school cafeterias and vending machines, when the chubby kids leave school grounds, rather than mainlining Fluffernutter, raw string beans will become their after-school snack of choice.

And so it seems that the anti-gun lobby is firmly convinced that the cure for gun violence is to nationalize what has failed so miserably in Chicago. Which raises the question: What is it about the Obamas that if something isn’t working, they work on it even harder?

Even more stunning is that supporters of an administration that purposely funneled guns into Mexico are now blaming Chicago’s crime rate on guns making their way into the Windy City from outside the city limits.

That must be why Michelle gave up her fantasy of being Beyoncé for the day, and rather than equate herself with Brian Terry and Jamie Zapata and hundreds of dead Mexicans shot with Eric Holder-provided high-power weapons, said this: “Hadiya Pendleton was me, and I was her.”

Speaking to concerned business leaders, Mama Obama compared herself to “a walking angel” who, soon after attending Obama’s Second Inauguration, was tragically cut down while talking with friends in Vivian Gordon Harsh Park.

After Hadiya’s murder, Michelle rushed to Chicago to attend the teen’s funeral and invited her parents Nate and Cleo to sit beside her in the State of the Union sky box. Excelling at the liberal practice of exploiting death for political purposes, Mrs. Obama reminded her audience that in Chicago burying a child is not unusual and that young people are killed after “wandering onto the wrong street… [or]… standing on their own porch.”

About Hadiya’s funeral, Michelle said:

"Let me tell you, it is hard to know what to say to a room full of teenagers who are about to bury their best friend…I told them that there is a reason that we’re here on this earth, that each of us has a mission in this world, and I urged them to use their lives to give meaning to Hadiya’s life."

Clearly, Mrs. Obama believes she has a “mission in this world,” and that that self-appointed mission involves assisting her husband in mitigating the Constitutional rights of law-abiding Americans. So to accomplish that goal, posing as an anti-gun raconteur Michelle relayed the heart-wrenching story of Hadiya’s untimely death.

According to Shelley O, “Hadiya’s family did everything right, but she still didn’t have a chance.” And so, because Cleo and Nate couldn’t keep their child safe, liberals like Michelle Obama who hold the collective view that our children are their children plan to step in to implement legislation they mistakenly believe saves lives.

Hey somebody, please tell Michelle Obama that while she was in Chicago speaking to business leaders about eliminating gun violence, an unarmed lunatic in Texas stabbed 14 people with a knife.

In Chicago, the first lady’s work was to get business leaders to agree that in the long run the survival of a future little Michelle Obama far outweighs the preservation of the tenets and freedoms that have abided for two centuries in the US Constitution.

The first lady’s purpose in going to Chicago was not to discuss reality, nor was it to reveal intriguing autobiographical insights about how she and Hadiya Pendleton are a lot alike. Instead, the true purpose of the trip was to prod America further along the road toward a society whose power-hungry government claims it’s attempting to eradicate gun violence by disarming its people.

Crystal Wright - 'Player' Obama: First Black POTUS Who Won’t Be Stopped

President Barack Obama just couldn’t help himself. He saw a pretty woman, channeled his inner Bill Clinton, and swooned over California’s Attorney General Kamala Harris. At a fundraising event, the Commander in Chief described Harris as “by far the best looking attorney general in the country.”

“It’s true! C’mon,” Obama responded, as the crowd roared with laughter in agreement, according to news reports. I wonder what First Lady Michelle Obama thought about her husband’s comment?

Both Harris and Obama were just outside of San Francisco April 4th attending a DNC event to raise money for the 2014 mid-term elections. Obama certainly has his priorities in order. Instead of reducing the country’s mounting debt and deficit, he’s helping Democrats win control of the House.

Not only was the comment sexist but beneath the dignity of the President of the United States. If Obama made such a comment in the private sector about a female co-worker, he likely would have been terminated on the spot and slapped with a sexual harassment lawsuit. But American’s can’t terminate our president for behaving badly.

On the flip side, this is a classic example of the liberal media’s double standard for conservatives. If George W. Bush described a female lawmaker as essentially being a hottie, there would have been howls from mainstream press that dominates our news media. But Obama can call CA Attorney General Kamala Harris the "best looking AG in the country" and the media's response to our first black president is, “Go ahead brother,” in so many words.

That’s what Jonathan Capehart thinks. Capehart defended Obama’s loose lips comment about Harris, “a compliment.” You can’t make this stuff up. Capehart wrote:

“President Obama prides himself on telling the truth. And when he reportedly said that California Attorney General Kamala Harris is ‘by far, the best looking attorney general,’ he spoke the God’s honest truth.” You just can’t make this stuff up. In Capehart’s mind-boggling defense of Obama, Capehart reminds us he’s one of “them,” part of elite group of Democrats who’s been in Obama’s presence at the White House.

“And Harris was a guest at the state dinner for British Prime Minister David Cameron. (Full disclosure: We were at the same table that night.),” added Capehart.

No matter what this president does, Obama’s loyal flock come to his defense, particularly his black supporters, even if it means overlooking the facts and blatant insults. In 2011, Obama spoke to the Congressional Black Caucus’ Annual Dinner and told blacks they needed to “take off your bedroom slippers, stop complainin, and stop grumblin.” Many conservatives like myself thought the remarks were racist but most blacks didn’t seem bothered and the liberal media was mostly muted on the topic. Former CBC Chairman Emmanuel Cleaver said in 2012 that with the black jobless rate at 14%, almost twice the national average at the time, Cleaver said “if we had a white president we’d be marching around the White House.” But Cleaver said the CBC cut Obama some slack cause he was black.

Back to Capehart, who wrote “judging by some of the comments I’ve seen on Twitter you’d swear the president was guilty of luridly cat-calling a woman he doesn’t know. If I thought for one moment that’s what was going on, you better believe I’d hammer him for it.” That’s exactly what was going on and whether Obama knew Harris or not doesn’t give him a license to reduce a woman of power to her looks.

I guess if Obama kissed Harris on the mouth, Capehart would consider that gesture worthy of “hammering” the president. Instead of lecturing his readers to “lighten up” on Obama, perhaps Capehart should open his eyes and “get serious” in his coverage of the president.

If it’s really true that “children learn what they live,” then the First Daughters are learning how to be highbrow aristocrats whose extravagances are enjoyed without embarrassment, in full view and at the expense of the suffering. That’s right, “the suffering,” because notwithstanding the onslaught of Obamaganda, most people in America today, thanks to Sasha and Malia’s Dad, are suffering in one way or another.

Meanwhile, when it comes to showering themselves with the perks of the good life, the Obamas exercise zero restraint. In fact, three months into the second term, they’re actually outdoing themselves. Not only that, but the elitist lifestyle the first family lives has a vindictive in-your-face, so-what-if-you-don’t-like-it edge to it that smacks of spiteful arrogance. Therefore, Sasha and Malia are learning what their liberal parents teach them, and that is to convey the following message to the unwashed masses: “Do as I say and I’ll do what I want, and I’ll do it with your money.”

And for all of Barack’s $900K Florida golf weekends, and more importantly, Michelle’s alleged $10 million vacations, haute couture, and overpaid personal staff, the tragic victims of their selfishness and insensitive lack of fiscal restraint are Sasha and Malia.

It’s common knowledge that in the Obama household, babies are sometimes considered punishment while abortion is a treasured right. Attending church is a twice-a-year photo op and vacations, since the first of the year, average out to be a once-a-month priority. While Dad and Mom talk the talk about sharing, fairness, and self-sacrifice, in their own lives they exhibit none of these qualities. Consequently, the Obama youngsters are learning through observation that concern over appearing selfish, godless, and hypocritical should be dismissed.

Meanwhile, the girls’ mother Michelle spends more time than she should proselytizing parents about their children’s BMIs, diet, and exercise. Sadly, what Mrs. Obama doesn’t seem to recognize is that plump children who possess the character traits she lacks will fare better in life than slender, vegetable-eating youngsters who are indifferent, self-absorbed, and snotty- the very qualities she exhibits, and are at the core of the example she sets for her daughters.

Although they live in a pampered, fairytale environment, the First Daughters are neither too young nor too insulated to be unaware that 48,000,000 Americans are on food stamps and that 12 million are unemployed, 23% of whom are either black or Hispanic. That’s why, rather than flaunt the next 17-day, $4-million family jaunt to Hawaii, Obama should request that Air Force One head out to California – not to visit George Clooney and Eva Longoria, but to school his daughters about the harsh effect 9.8% unemployment is having on the Golden State.

Nonetheless, as a casual observer of a seemingly insatiable appetite for all things swanky and sumptuous, one can’t help but wonder, do Mr. and Mrs. Obama ever reflect upon what they are teaching their impressionable children about life? In three months they’ve gone from the balmy isle of Oahu, Hawaii to the bunny slopes of Aspen, Colorado. Sasha and Malia even watched from afar as Dad the Duffer golfed in Florida for a cool million with the philandering Tiger Woods.

Now, in the middle of a fiscal cliff/sequester crisis, without a care in the world the Obama girls have been led to believe that having staffers drag luggage stuffed with designer duds onto Marine One and helicoptering off to Paradise Island for five days is an acceptable choice to make. Moreover, despite an economy on the edge of collapse, the Obama princesses probably can’t help but believe that airplanes costing hundreds of thousands of dollars an hour to fly are there mainly to transport them to fun locales.

Last spring, Malia Obama’s trip to Mexico allegedly cost taxpayers $115,500.87. This year, the two sisters are at a Caribbean resort being chauffeured around in a motorcade and “escorted to the held elevator,” accompanied by “a gaggle of friends.” Sans parents, Sasha and Malia are vacationing at the Atlantis, home to the Royal Tower Bridge Suite that goes for $25,000 per night. These tender-aged adolescents are accompanied by Secret Service agents who stand on the sidelines as they dance, giggle, and hang out at Club Crush, which for “teens ages 13 to 17 and tweens ages 9 to 13 vacationing on Paradise Island…[is the] ultimate nightclub.”

Meanwhile, the rest of America’s children, some of whom had humble spring break plans to ride in the family van to Washington DC, watch with their faces pressed against the wrought iron railing surrounding a closed White House. These schoolchildren are the disappointed victims of a sequester decision Barack Obama made while Sasha and Malia were preparing to party their little hearts out on a trip financed mostly with taxpayer money.

If anything, the life Sasha and Malia are living proves a few things – not about them, but about their parents – none of which are good. Most specifically, the First Couple are either profoundly arrogant, profoundly stupid or, most probably, profoundly indifferent to the effect their behavior may have on their daughters. Unfortunately, if Sasha and Malia Obama are truly learning what they live, then while their lives may be good in the material sense, the life lessons they’re learning are not.

Michelle Malkin - Mock Dance Video of Michelle Obama

Michelle Malkin is getting a lot of backlash after making a parody video of Michelle Obama dancing with Jimmy Fallon this week on his late night show. Malkin appears in the video like you’ve never seen her before, dressed similar to Michelle Obama complete with the new hair cut. According to Fox News on Thursday Feb. 28, Michelle Obama is raising concerns as she is becoming more like a celebrity than a first lady with all her recent TV appearances.

The First Lady was with Big Bird in a PSA, on Jimmy Fallon, she appeared at the Oscars and she is on a Dr. Oz show that’s yet to air; this was all in one week. Many are asking if there is another celebrity rising from inside the Obama family, as the President does pretty well for himself in that department already.

Michelle Malkin had a name for every dance move that she mocked of Michele Obama’s. Names like the “The Grab Your Wallet,” “The Raise the Debt Ceiling” and “The Golfing Man,” were just a few of the moves she made while imitating Michelle Obama. Malkin finished it off with “The Sequester Shake.”

In a "shared little-known facts about herself" interview, which revealed that along with sleeping with her dog when the president is out of town, the first lady admitted she partakes of the foods she forbids her husband to eat. Michelle told US magazine that while out campaigning she's tried" [e]verything from local farmers' market produce in North Carolina to fried Twinkies in Iowa."

Yet, prior to Barack Obama setting out on his summer Midwest bus tour, Michelle forbade him to indulge in fried Twinkies at state fairs. Now, Hostess, the makers of Ding-Dongs, politically incorrect Ho-Hos, Wonder Bread, and friable Twinkies, is officially out of business. Therefore, thanks to Mrs. Obama's dietary restriction, the President of the United States may never be able to enjoy a battered, deep fried specialty on a stick.

Although the iconic snack cake manufacturer had "already reached a contract agreement with its largest union, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters," it was too late. According to Hostess CEO Gregory F. Rayburn "thousands of members in [its] second-biggest union went on strike late last week after rejecting in September a contract offer that cut wages and benefits."

Rayburn apologized to dedicated Sno Ball fans, saying, "We deeply regret the necessity of today's decision, but we do not have the financial resources to weather an extended nationwide strike. Hostess Brands will move promptly to lay off most of its 18,500-member workforce and focus on selling its assets to the highest bidders."

Hopefully the Hostess buyout doesn't end up going to another Chinese bidder because somehow Rinkies and Fing Fongs just don't sound as appetizing as Twinkies and Ding Dongs.

As for the 18,000+ ex-Hostess personnel, "Most employees who lose their jobs should be eligible for government-provided unemployment benefits." Laid-off snack cake workers can now line up behind the thousands of other Americans who overwhelmingly decided to continue moving forward on the unemployment line for four more years.

Hostess said its "wind down would mean the closure of 33 bakeries, 565 distribution centers, approximately 5,500 delivery routes and 570 bakery outlet stores in the United States." Besides leaving flour, sugar, and unused hairnets behind, the demise of Hostess will also mean that state fairs will no longer get mass deliveries of Twinkies to fill those deep fryers.

As luck would have it, state fair concession stand owners still have time to hoard Twinkies because distribution centers "will remain open for several days to sell already-baked products."Stale Twinkies are not a problem because, urban legend or not, the spongy cakes do have a reputation for extended shelf life. Just ask Roger Bennatti, a Science Teacher at George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill, Maine. Roger "wanted to find out just how long a Twinkie could survive, so he left one sitting on his blackboard for three decades."

Unlike this past year, when Barack's state fair tasting tour was limited by Michelle to the "chocolate moose 'butter cow' statue," if a few Twinkies are secured for posterity there's a glimmer of hope that Obama may be allowed to indulge, just one last time, in what's now a historic delicacy.

Either way, thankfully, "Twinkies were included in the U.S. Millennium Time Capsule representing an object of enduring American symbolism." Good thing, because in the words of the George Rayburn, thanks to Hostess's second-biggest union, "It's over. This is it." Sadly, the same can be said of Barack Obama's America.

So the next time a time capsule is loaded up with iconic American symbols, it might be appropriate to bury a fried Twinkie alongside the no-longer-indestructible American flag and a copy of the recently outmoded U.S. Constitution.

School menu monitor Michelle Obama has always put the welfare of America’s school children first. Right? Now, the first lady, in conjunction with the USDA and the 2010 “Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act,” is on a one-woman mission to eradicate what she believes to be the greatest “threat to national security” — childhood obesity.

Michelle Obama’s vision to promote healthier BMIs includes force-feeding federally-funded food to kids in school cafeterias and mandating that school-aged slackers “Let’s Move!” their rotund selves around the perimeter of the schoolyard during recess.

U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack vouched for the new law, saying the goal is to improve “nutritional standards for all foods regularly sold in schools” by providing the USDA with the authority to establish requirements for foods available “during the school day, including vending machines, the ‘a la carte’ lunch lines, and school stores. ”

According to Suzanne Perez Tobias of the Wichita Eagle, the law sets “calorie maximums for school lunches — 650 calories for elementary-schoolers, 700 for middle-schoolers and 850 for high schoolers.”

As a result, voracious children who once enjoyed the freedom to choose sloppy joes for lunch are now getting their first taste of oppressive government regulation. In New York City, kids who reject the unenticing menu may even be forced to endure swallowing school-provided morning-after pills on an empty stomach.

Overseen by Mama Obama, the new school lunch program is but a mere foreshadowing of what America is in for when Obamacare kicks in. Along with stringent regulations and increased paperwork, the costs of the life-saving government-dictated provisions are sure to go up while the portions and choices will go down.

In the meantime, someone should inform the first lady that the “one-size-fits-all” menu she’s hawking isn’t fitting the caloric needs of different-sized kids growing at different rates, all with varying energy needs. As a result, many school children are spending the day anything but “hunger-free.”

One concerned food service worker from Montana put it this way: “It’s completely flip-flopped in terms of portion size.” The “new federal guidelines require vegetables to comprise the largest portion of a student’s lunch, while the entrée is now being treated as a side dish.”

Another school food service worker said that “Two ounces of protein won’t cut it for high school athletes.” Maybe Michelle feels that if she can work out those impressive biceps on an empty stomach, high school athletes who need food-driven power to plow through those football dummies should quit complaining and toughen up.

Probably the most shocking change concerning the school lunch change is that “Even though some kids may be leaving the lunch room hungry, the new Obama-imposed rules prohibit students from receiving additional helpings, even when there’s food left over.”

In other words, every child attending a publicly-funded school has been put on a USDA-enforced diet by America’s intrusive first lady. In Obama’s world it could be called “Sharing-the-Starvation,” where everyone gets to equally experience what it’s like to go hungry.

Nick Blohm, a 6′ 3″/210-lb. varsity football linebacker at Mukwonago High School in Mukwonago, Wisconsin, is one of the hungry ones. Nick isn’t faring well on the same caloric intake as a 95-lb. flute player in the Pep Band. Neither are 581 of the 830 Mukwonago students who boycotted the hummus and edamame salad -laden cafeteria.

In fairness, it could be that while Michelle’s expertise is in dietetics and kinesiology, math may not be her forte. The Mukwonago football slogan is: “To be the best outwork the rest.” The problem is that mathematically in order for Nick to “outwork the rest,” doing so on the caloric intake of a vegetarian won’t provide him with the oomph he needs.

Nick has a plan, though; he thinks he can get around the unappetizing cafeteria fare by bringing a bagged lunch from home. What Mr. Blohm and his mom are probably not anticipating is a future where nannies Michelle and Tom possibly impose X-Ray scanning at cafeteria checkpoints for students attempting to sneak in unauthorized bagged lunches.

In the meantime, Michelle Obama’s daughters Sasha and Malia, who attend the exclusive private school Sidwell Friends, are free to enjoy classic Caesar salad, cheese and all, and pepperoni flatbread pizza. Just as in most dictatorships, the elites remain unaffected by the very government impositions they inflict on everybody else.

To quote our beloved President, this school lunch to-do is indeed a “teachable moment.” America should pay heed to what happens when a benevolent government worms its way into private choice and uses the excuse that it’s for the good of the citizenry. The truth is that what is currently taking place in school cafeterias across America is an omen of a future where the government that is currently regulating Tater Tots will one day be rationing health care.

Crystal Wright - No Hope for Obama; It's Mitt Time

Many people would say the biggest mistake President Barack Obama made was getting elected President of the United States. He’s presided over one of the worst economies since the Great Depression where unemployment has been stuck over 8% for 41 straight months and our soaring debt earned America its first credit downgrade in history. Obama has spent America ($5 trillion to date) into a black hole of zero opportunity; diminished America’s standing in the world and divided citizens against each other at home. He has accomplished all this while blaming Bush, Republicans, Washington and every one under the sun except the man in the mirror, himself, for his incompetence as president.

Yet, in the face of this abysmal record, Obama’s arrogance is unwavering. During a cream puff interview with CBS anchor Charlie Rose, Obama said his biggest mistake as president was focusing too much on policy and not doing enough storytelling. Of course the opposite is true. Obama hasn’t focused on policies to improve the economy or our standing in the world.

He has had a myopic fixation on story telling, destructive stories pitting classes against one another, stories of blame and stories vilifying businesses and hard working Americans for achieving success.

“The mistake during my first term ,a couple of years was thinking that this job was about getting the policy right. And that’s important but you know the nature of this office is to tell a story to the American people that gives them a sense of unity, and purpose and optimism, especially during tough times. It’s funny when I ran everybody said you give a great speech but can he manage the job,” remarked Obama.

After nearly four years, we know Obama can’t manage anything and that’s his biggest problem. It’s stunning a president would think his job is to tell the American people stories rather than fix the country’s problems. These comments demonstrate how out of touch, in over his head and “me” centric Obama is as president of the greatest country on earth.

Ironically, Obama campaigned on uniting blue and red Americans, healing the nation and he’s done just the opposite. Obama has waged war on nearly every segment of the population to divide the country asunder: class warfare; the war on women (stay at home vs. working); the war on religion (Catholic Church contraception battle and support of gay marriage); war on race (Hispanic amnesty program) and the war on business.

As he tries to deflect attention from his lousy record to Mitt Romney’s tax returns, Obama sounds more ridiculous by the day. Last week at a campaign stop in Roanoke, VA, Obama declared people don't build businesses.

“If you’ve got a business you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet, so then all the companies could make money off the Internet. The point is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together,” said Obama.

If people don't build businesses, what the HELL do all of us do all day? We the people, who build and work at businesses, pay taxes that fund Obama’s salary and government. So businesses are people. And people who achieve success through hard work should not have their money taxed at higher rates and redistributed to others to subsidize their prosperity. That’s called collectivism another word for socialism another word for communism another word for the nanny state.

In a fiery retort from a rally in Pittsburgh, Romney reminded Obama, people work hard to build businesses and ‘‘I tell you this. I'm convinced that he wants Americans to be ashamed of success.’’

As a former business owner Romney said, ‘‘To say that Steve Jobs didn’t build Apple, that Henry Ford didn’t build Ford Motors, that Papa John didn’t build Papa John Pizza ... To say something like that, it’s not just foolishness. It’s insulting to every entrepreneur, every innovator in America.’’

This election isn’t about Mitt Romney’s tax returns. This election is about restoring America and her people to prosperity again which Obama failed to do. As a former governor, who worked with Democrats, brought down Massachusetts unemployment, reformed education and a former CEO of Bain Capital who helped companies thrive and create jobs, Romney is immensely more qualified to lead the country out of this malaise than Obama. On the trail, Romney talks of uplifting all Americans out of this economic nightmare through reduced government spending, tax reform and repealing job killing laws like Obamacare.

During their joint interview with Charlie Rose, Michelle Obama said, smiling, “I mean, hope doesn’t get actualized in three and a half years.”

Hope doesn’t rule a nation, results and effective policy do; two things that will never be actualized under Obama. This president is destroying our country from the inside out and the outside in. If Obama was white, the media and liberal Americans would have excoriated him LONG AGO. OBAMA HAS NO CLUE WHAT HE IS DOING AND IS MORE CONCERNED WITH HIMSELF THAN AMERICA’S PROSPERITY. It’s time for Mitt Romney. Let the race begin!
