The Constitution was drafted at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia in 1787 and ratified the following year. The Constitution divides governmental powers between the National and State governments in a system known as Federalism. It also divides the National government into three independent branches, Executive, Legislative, and Judicial which serves as checks and balances upon one another.
In addition to listing the powers of the National Government; which include the power to collect taxes, regulate trade, and declare war - the Constitution enumerates the powers forbidden to the States and to Congress; and the procedures for electing and appointing government officials as well as procedures for Amending the Constitution. The Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments to the Constitution, was ratified in 1791. These amendments, are intended to protect individual liberties from the power of the National Government, guarantee freedom of speech, the press, religion, petition, and assembly; and specify the rights of the accused in criminal and civil cases.

Hosea 4: 6 (KJV) Many cannot understand the differences between a right - a privilege - sanction.
America is a Constitutional Republic ruled by Law and NOT a Democracy that is ruled by the 'Majority of the Minute'.
'Constitutional Rights' are Human Rights - life, liberty, freedom to own property, freedom from Government, freedom to worship or not worship, freedom to assemble, freedom to vote etc.
'Privileges' - A Society of Free Individuals can also 'Grant' certain Privileges that have requirements by competent authorities, e.g. Granting licenses to Medical Doctors, Airplane Pilots, Automobile Drivers etc. in order to prove the ability to meet Standards of knowledge, competency and perhaps age.
A Society of Free Individuals can also 'Sanction Certain Societal Behavior' e.g. the 'Age of Consent for Sex', Marriage, consumption of Alcohol and what 'Drugs' are legal or illegal etc.
That Society has the 'Right' to Sanction or authorize, approve, support or allow certain behavior within the Society, is a point of concern for some within Society.
Some believe that Government (at ANY level and especially at the Federal level) should have 'No Role' in determining who can marry or at what age, whether abortion should be legal and/or at what age, what drugs should be freely available or restricted and what the age of consent should be for sex etc. - these people believe that a Society of Individuals have NO right to Sanction ANY behavior.
This reveals the age old struggle between 'Good and Evil' and most likely will never be settled by law.
There are two major perspectives that Americans hold when it comes to 'Society'.
The transformation of Society, to match the Depravity of Humans (Liberal Progressive and Libertarian).
The transformation of Society, to match the standards that have produced Greatness in Humans (Conservative).
Some Americans hold the first view (1) that their morals and emotional nature should be accepted by other humans and their self-esteem, morals, values and personal identity is based on that acceptance. Those who hold this view deem this 'Character by Diversity' or 'Character by Freedom of the Individual'. This view is implicit in the notion that - there are NO standards - there are NO moral codes - there is NO right and wrong.
Many Americans believe that the second view (2) will bring about 'Historical Character'. They believe that a societies morals, standards and values, must be measured against societal standards that have proven in history, to bring about self-esteem, morals, values and personal identity of self worth.
Once again, these two societal views when abstracted, reveal the age old struggle between 'Good and Evil'.
Should Society fight against Evil, or should Society give in to Evil and produce a 'World of Darkness'?

Hosea 4: 6 (KJV) It should be clear to any thinking person that the Barack Obama 'Regime' will NOT enforce any existing laws that he or his Administration disagrees with - PERIOD.
It should also be clear that Barack Obama and his 'Regime' will break any law for political expedience or for any reason.

The Barack Obama Administration has decided NOT to further investigate or charge the Black Panthers with voter intimidation (2008 election), even though there is overwhelming video evidence.
The Barack Obama Administration has determined that it is 'Illegal' for Arizona to enforce 'Legal Law' against 'Illegal Immigrants' and filed a lawsuit NOT against the 'Law Breakers' but against those enforcing a 'Legal Law'.
Every legal American Citizen has the right to vote ONCE in the Presidential General Election - Illegal Immigrants do NOT have the right to vote. Barack Obama and Liberal Progressives, along with Ron Paul and his followers are steadfastly AGAINST tamper proof ID's that would stop the voter fraud that was rampant in the 2008 General Election.
Barack Obama made a career of teaching and advocating Voter Fraud at ACORN, prior to becoming President and now he is in charge of ALL agencies that investigate and prosecute voter fraud.
Note this statement from Liberal Democrats: "We have interviews of many accounts from caucus states recounting threats, intimidation, lies, stolen documents, falsified documents, busing in voters in exchange for paying for "dinners," etc. There are at least 2000 complaints, in Texas alone, of irregularities directed towards the Obama Campaign, that have lead to a very fractured and broken Democratic Party."

Hosea 4: 6 (KJV) The continued assault and war on the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights.
On December 1, 2011, by an overwhelming majority and bipartisan vote of 93 vs. 7, the U.S. Senate passed S. 1867, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012.
In so doing, the Senate gives authority to the President to have the military arrest and detain United States citizens deemed to be enemy combatants (called “covered persons” in Sec. 1031 of S.1867) without charge or trial.
In so doing, the Senate also legalizes sodomy and bestiality in the U.S. military, by repealing the Uniform Code of Military Justice’s Art. 125 (see S1867′s Sec. 551(d)).
The language of the S. 1867 ‘Indefinite Detention’ Defense Bill states in laymen's terms, that the President of the United States can arrest ANY Citizen of the United States, ANYWHERE in the United States and DETAIN them without filing Criminal charges for as LONG as the President wants to DETAIN them. The President could also refuse to ALLOW them to see a lawyer or be released on BAIL.
This Law was intended to deal with Terrorists who are American Citizens and are planning Terrorism attacks on United States soil against United States Citizens, but as many laws intended for good - there are severe unintended consequences that could and will occur by a 'Rogue President' intent on silencing dissent against him/her and their Administration.
This should ALARM any and all American citizen throughout the Political Spectrum. The United States was founded on the concept of Individual achievement.
The ONLY minority in the United States is each individual legal American Citizen.
Every Legal American Citizen should have the exact same rights and protections guaranteed by the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights - NO more and NO less.
Liberals state that Equal Rights and Protections for every 'Legal' American Citizen' is NOT 'Fair', because certain 'Collectives' need 'Special Rights' - like Illegal Aliens, Black Americans, Muslim Americans and Homosexuals.
Every Legal American Citizen should have the exact same rights and protections guaranteed by the Constitution and Bill of Rights - NO more and NO less.
Equal rights and Protections are zero sum endeavors - when a 'collective group' receives 'Extra Rights' or 'Special Rights', it automatically reduces the rights of all other citizens outside that 'collective group'.
There will NEVER be 'Equal Rights' in the United States until 'Affirmative Action' and other 'Special Rights' are eliminated for 'Special Groups'. What thinking person could believe that 'Equal Rights' can only be realized by 'Unequal Rights' or that Discrimination would be Stopped by Discriminating?

America was founded on the concept of a limited Democracy or ‘Constitutional Republic’ which is ruled by law, rather than a ‘Pure Democracy’ or mob rule by whatever Party that happens to be in power or control or the 'Majority of the Minute'.
A prime example of a 'Pure Democracy' and the 'Right to Choose' whatever the people want (mob rule) instead of the 'Rule of Law', would be a lynching.
Everyone involved in the Lynching has a vote – even the one being lynched, but the mob rules by majority and not by law - this would be described by Liberals as 'Fairness', because the 'People' made their choice by popular vote and Liberals would defend the 'Mob Rule choice'.
This is why Barack Obama and other 'Progressives' abhor, hate and detest the 'Rule of Law' or Constitutional Republic, rather than a Government operated by their whim or ideology based in 'Democracy' and their perception of what the People want.

Section. 1. All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.
Section. 2. The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the several States, and the Electors in each State shall have the Qualifications requisite for Electors of the most numerous Branch of the State Legislature.
Section. 3. The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, chosen by the Legislature thereof, for six Years; and each Senator shall have one Vote.
(NOTE: The Seventeenth Amendment (Amendment XVII) to the United States Constitution established direct election of United States Senators by popular vote. The amendment was proposed on May 13, 1912 and ratified April 18, 1913.) It is commonly stated that all problems facing the United States are either started or solved by the United States Congress and specifically the United States Senate.
The job of a Senator intended by our Founding Fathers was to represent the States and the Citizens within those States. Since the 17th Amendment in 1913, Senators NO LONGER represent the State, but usually only the Citizens within the Urban areas (Large Cities) of each State.
Several Powers were granted to the united States Senate, the power to try impeachments, a duly elected office holder can be impeached by the House of Representatives, but they can only be convicted and penalized by the Senate.
The Senate was also given the power to advise and consent to the appointment of cabinet officers and judges.
The Senate was also given the power to approve or reject treaties with other nations.
One does not have to be a serious or Expert Historian to track the results (since 1913) after Senators were given power to be Elite members of the Oligarchy to see the disastrous results of this change.
NOTE: Oligarchy = a government in which a small group exercises control, especially for corrupt and selfish purposes.

In the novel "1984", George Orwell introduced us to the words 'doublethink' and 'newspeak'. A word Orwell DIDN'T use - but which combines the two - is 'doublespeak'. Doublespeak is saying one thing and meaning another, usually its opposite.
In "1984" when BIG BROTHER (Big Brother represented Joseph Stalin) and the Party said PEACE they meant WAR, when they said LOVE they meant HATE, and when they said FREEDOM they meant SLAVERY.
The Preamble phrase "...promote the general Welfare..." is commonly quoted by Liberal Progressives to validate their 'Wealth Re-distribution' schemes for their 'Utopian Welfare State'. The meaning of the word 'welfare' in 1787 when the Preamble was written (according to the American Heritage Dictionary): welfare n. 1. health, happiness, or prosperity; well-being. [wel faren, to fare well].
The phrase 'Social Welfare' more aptly describes modern Day Liberal Progressive redistributive taxation. One of the reasons I started this blog - 'Town Hall Patriots' (THP) was to educate myself and hopefully educate other as well.
THP will begin a series entitled 'American History Condensed', that will help to educate myself and the United States Citizenry on God In America, The Original Intent of our Founding Fathers, The Declaration of Independence, The Preamble to the Constitution, The Constitution of the United States, The Bill of Rights and other subjects about our 'Heritage' in the United States.
The Philosophy of our Government System is uniquely American and based on the concept that the Individual is "... endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights ..." (Declaration of Independence) or 'Natural Rights'. These God Given Rights are 'Unalienable', which simply means that NO Government or ANY Man, has the right to dispose of those Rights.
It might seem strange to some that I have chosen the 2nd Amendment to launch this series, as I believe that God is The Cornerstone of our Freedom and Liberty, but I believe the 2nd Amendment is a major part of the Foundation of Liberty and Freedom.
The 2nd Amendment is really about empowerment, or more specifically, the distribution and possession of power.
So what is the historical position of the American people and government, what is our history? Our founders fortunately made it very clear where they stood, and the enemies of freedom have confirmed their conclusions in many ways by their own statements and actions.
