A leading voice in the Congressional Black Caucus, Rep. Andre Carson (D-Ind.), told supporters that Tea Party-affiliated lawmakers are devastating the black community economically and would be happy to see black people “hanging on a tree.”
The Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) consists of one United States Senator and seventy five members of the United States House of Representatives, and is the largest caucus within the House Democratic Caucus.
The Congressional Progressive Caucus has gone underground in respect to their connection to the Democratic Socialists of America. Their roster is no longer published on the DSA website and they no longer publicly acknowledge their loyalty to the socialist organization.
There is a marked difference between a Liberal and a Liberal Progressive in the United States.
Generally speaking, a Liberal wants to tax and spend under the current Government process to maintain and advance 'Social Programs' for selected preferred Collectivist groups e.g. the poor, racial minorities, Homosexuals etc.
The term Liberal Progressive simply means 'Democratic Socialist'; a belief that all means of production should be controlled or owned by the Federal Government, in order to 'Share the Wealth' through redistribution and bring about 'Social Justice'.
Social Justice (Socialism) wants 'Equal Outcomes' based on the theory that all humans would do well, if given the proper Social Justice.
Liberal Progressivism stresses 'Human Interdependence', rather than the importance of Individual Rights, Individual Goals, Individual success and Individual determination.
Liberal Progressives want a Minimum of private ownership and a maximum of 'Centrally Controlled' planned economy or State ownership of wealth (capital)
