Anne from PA - TSA Humiliates Mom
John Pistole apparently isn't aware that "WE the People" have the US Constitution that PROTECTS our right against UNLAWFUL SEARCH and seizure. It's the 4th Amendment, which says...
"The right of the people to be secure in their PERSONS, houses, papers, and effects, AGAINST UNREASONABLE SEARCH AND SEIZURES, SHALL NOT BE VIOLATED, and NO WARRANT shall issue, BUT UPON PROBABLE CAUSE, supported by oath or
affirmation, and PARTICULARLY DESCRIBING THE PLACE TO BE SEARCHED, AND THE PERSONS OT THINGS TO BE SEIZED."
Every time an airline passenger "person" is searched without "probable cause" (and no search warrant) all of our Constitutionally guaranteed RIGHTS are VIOLATED.
And further, apparently the Transportation Security Administration Administrator, John Pistole, isn't aware that NONE of the enhanced procedures are accomplishing anything they "claim" they do.
Evidence?

EACH and EVERY time anyone goes through any TSA security at ANY US airport, "We the People" should have on hand a copy of the 4th Amendment, and DEMAND the TSA agent produce a warrant showing PROBABLE CAUSE.

TSA Nude Body Scanners Boondoggle
This video is here to demonstrate that the TSA’s insistence that the nude body scanner program is effective and necessary is nothing but a fraud, just like their claims that the program is safe (radiation what?) and non-invasive (nude pictures who?). The scanners are now effectively worthless, as anyone can beat them with virtually no effort. The TSA has been provided this video in advance of it being made public to give them an opportunity to turn off the scanners and revert to the metal detectors. I personally believe they now have no choice but to turn them off. Please share this video with your family, friends, and most importantly, elected officials in federal government. Make sure they understand that your vote is contingent on them fixing the abuse that 200,000 passengers face from the TSA on a daily basis.

Retired Geek - What Are The TSA Agents Looking For? Part 5 - Final in This Series
In 2007, Congress mandated that the Transportation Security Administration must screen 100 percent of all cargo carried by passenger planes by August 2010. Screening each and every piece of cargo—approximately 7.6 billion pounds are transported by U.S. air carriers every day—places a tremendous burden on an already struggling economy, not to mention American taxpayers. EDS screening technology already widely used to monitor checked-in bags at UK airports but is not used on freight
The lethal chemical compound PETN, favoured by al-Qaida, is detectable by state-of-the-art airport scanners, but closing a "security loophole" by expanding their use to all freight cargo would be complex and costly, experts warned.
The use of PETN, or pentaerythritol tetranitrate, in the Yemen cargo devices and the Christmas Day Detroit airliner attack last year has raised concerns that the sophisticated explosive is extremely difficult to detect. These anxieties were heightened when it emerged that one of the printer bombs was not detected during an initial examination of a UPS package at East Midlands airport early that turned out to be a viable bomb.

But Norman Shanks, the former head of security at BAA, owner of Heathrow, said today the threat could be countered by a type of screening technology already widely used to monitor checked-in bags at UK airports, but not currently used on freight.
Explosive Detection System (EDS) machines can detect densities of lethal chemical compounds, and some produce images with the same level of detail as hospital MRI scanners. Shanks, who helped install EDS machines at Heathrow in the 1990s, said: "The problem with the x-rays they use for cargo and for passenger screening [of cabin baggage] is that the majority do not have the capacity to detect explosives."
Another concern over EDS technology was cost and slowing down the security process, added Shanks, who said the industry could get round the problems by prioritising items from blacklisted countries: "You could use EDS technology to screen parcels from certain countries that we are concerned about."
However, experts cautioned that closing the freight security loophole would involve considerable cost and logistical complexity. According to the Airforwarders Association, a recent US mandate that requires screening of all cargo on passenger planes entering or flying within the US would carry an immediate cost of $700m (£436m) and require 9,000 employees. Philip Butterworth-Hayes, an aviation consultant, said: "The technology exists. It's horrendously expensive and will take many years to install at all the various cargo depots and freight-forwarding places. If you add up all the places cargo can access the airside at airports, there are many thousands of places, and to put screening units in all those places is very complicated.
The target was the great urban sprawl along the Great Lakes: Cleveland, Detroit, and Chicago. It doesn't require pinpoint accuracy to hit densely populated areas there. A plane on approach to any one of those cities will be over populated areas for an hour or more, giving plenty of leeway for a timed explosion. Both of the so-called printer bombs employed circuit boards from cellphones to activate the detonators. There were no SIM cards, so that they could not be triggered by a phone call. They were designed to act as timers.
The ultimate purpose of the Islamic Terrorists in this case is to rain death and destruction from the Sky causing disaster, loss of Life and a World Wide Media event.

| Abdulmutallab's Apartment |
December 25, 2009 PETN was found in the possession of 23-year-old Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab. According to US security officials.Abdulmutallab attempted to blow up Northwest Airlines flight 253 an Airbus A330 as it approached Detroit airport from Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Abdulmutallab was in a window seat and had the device strapped to his left leg, against the body of the plane.
The idea was almost certainly to blow a hole in the aircraft so decompression would tear it apart.
Abdulmutallab's bomb involved a syringe and a soft plastic container filled with 80g of PETN. Experts believe the syringe may have been converted into an electrical detonator or, more likely, it was was filled with a liquid detonator, such as nitroglycerin, which would have made the device extremely hard to detect through the usual airport security measures.
Abdulmutallab's father, Alhaji Umar Mutallab, had earlier reported his concern about his son’s activities to relevant American authorities.
Abdulmutallab cleared security in Lagos and Amsterdam after passing through a metal detector and having had x-rays done of his hand luggage. The lack of an explosion on the flight meant there was almost certainly a failure between the primary and the main charge so that the PETN did not fully detonate.
The bottom line is that Abdulmutallab cleared ALL security at two Airports, warnings by his father to American authorities and still was able to bring a bomb on-board Flight 253.
If it wasn't for Dutch Citizen Jasper Schuringa who wrestled the flaming syringe out of the pants of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab and four other men and three women who subdued him - there would have been a tragedy on Christmas Day, 2009.

PETN is reasonably stable and difficult to detonate with just a flame, as demonstrated by Richard Reid the "Shoe Bomber", who tried to bring down an American Airlines flight to Miami in 2001 with PETN concealed in one of his shoes.
Why is PETN so difficult to detect and why such small amounts?
PETN is non-metallic so it does not show up in x-ray machines and so powerful that only a small amount can be easily hidden on or in the Human body - which can do considerable damage.
Like most Americans, I knew little about PETN or understood the methodology of what the Islamic Terrorists were trying to do with small amounts of PETN, or why the TSA searched shoes, breasts, crotch areas and so on. I could only visualize Planes being brought down by missiles or rockets etc.
What the Islamic Terrorists are trying to do, is puncture the fuselage of the Aircraft at High Altitudes which would result in rapid decompression of the passenger Cabin.
There are three factors that would determine the rate of decompression.
- The volume or size of the passenger Cabin.
- The size of the opening i.e. Door or puncture.
- The difference in pressure between inside and outside of the passenger Cabin, which is determined by Altitude.
If the opening is large enough - many passengers, crew members and objects in the Cabin are immediately sucked out of the Aircraft. The inside temperature of the Cabin instantly matches the frigid air outside the Cabin or approximately -55 degrees Celsius (-67 Fahrenheit).
Hypothermia, frostbite, decompression sickness - begins immediately and in approximately one minute all passengers and crew members are unconscious.

Pentaerythritol tetranitrate, or PETN, is a major ingredient of Semtex and belongs to the same chemical family as nitroglycerin. It is one of the most powerful explosives made today and is a favourite among terrorists because its colourless crystals are hard to detect in a sealed container.
PETN is relatively stable and is detonated either by heat or a shockwave. A little more than 100g of PETN could destroy a car, experts say.
PETN, or pentaerythritol tetranitrate, presents some vexing problems for security experts. A powder about the consistency of fine popcorn salt, it will not trigger an alarm on a metal detector. Because of its more stable molecules, PETN gives off less vapor, making it more difficult to detect by bomb-sniffing dogs and the trace swabs used by the Transportation Security Administration.
PETN's stability makes it easy to hide and easily transformed. When mixed with rubber cement or putty, it becomes a rudimentary plastic explosive — a baseball-sized amount can blow a hole in an airplane fuselage.
"PETN is hard to detect and lends itself to being concealed," said an intelligence official who was not authorized to speak on the record. "It packs a punch."
The “Underwear Bomber” had 80 grams or 2.8 oz. of PETN (4 times the amount in the previous video), experts state that a person could pass through the current Full Body scanners with 3 times that amount of PETN as long as it was in a round shape with no sharp edges. The Full Body scanners will not pick-up explosives, but only mass. Just 6 grams (0.2 oz) of PETN would be enough to blow a hole in a metal plate twice the thickness of an aircraft’s skin.

"Full-body scans and aggressive pat-downs now under scrutiny are designed to seek out the explosive powder that was used in several failed terrorist bombings recently, officials say.
New airport security procedures that have stirred the emotions of air travelers — full-body scans and aggressive pat-downs — were largely designed to detect an explosive powder called PETN, which has been a staple of Al Qaeda bomb makers for nearly a decade.
It was PETN that was molded into the sole of Richard Reid's black high-top sneaker when he walked onto American Airlines Flight 63 bound for Miami in December 2001.
It was PETN that was sewn into the underwear of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, authorities say, when he boarded Northwest Airlines Flight 253 for Detroit on Christmas Day 2009.
And it was PETN that suspected Al Qaeda operatives in Yemen packed inside computer printer cartridges that were shipped Oct. 28, 2010 intending to blow up planes en route to Chicago."

Robin of Berkeley - The Real Civil War
READER ALERT: DISTURBING INFORMATION INCLUDED
I just read somewhere that representatives of Islam have trained TSA agents in culturally sensitive pat downs of Muslims. It makes me wonder: Have the agents been trained in how to sensitively grope Christians?
Number one rule: Don’t feel up nuns.
I’m sure that I’m not the only one who was horrified by the photo on Drudge of an agent manhandling a nun. If Mother Theresa were still alive and traveling around to serve the poor, would she would be subject to assaults on her person? Has this nation stooped this low, literally, since in the photo, the agent was on his knees?
Of course, the abuse of Christianity is not just confined to the inappropriate touch of nuns. The desecration is happening daily. We’re treated to the spectacle of taxpayer money used for an ant-covered Jesus at the Smithsonian. The exhibition, which has attracted school children, also sends out a homosexual vibe.
Why is this happening and why is the culture accepting it? Part of the reason is, I think, that people don’t understand Christ’s message, which was of peace and love and redemption. I certainly didn’t understand it until I took the time to educate myself. I spoke with Christians, attended churches, and purchased a Bible.
The masses are brainwashed to believe that there is something seriously wrong with Christianity and its Messiah. Of course, this indoctrination has no basis in reality.
In psychotherapy, we use the term “peeling the onion” to understand phenomenon. There’s generally an outer, superficial truth, and then a more profound, inner Truth.
The Truth about the desecration of Jesus and his message? I think that It’s spiritual warfare. Although I never even heard the term until a few months ago, it explains everything.
Why else would Larry David, on his TV show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, literally urinate on a picture of Jesus? And why would comedian Sarah Silverman, say such obscene remarks about Christ, that I will not even link or repeat them here? Why won’t Obama use the “God” word, or stand in front of a crucifix at Notre Dame to speak?
The outer shell? It’s all part of cultural Marxism — the deliberate demoralization and corruption of the nation. That’s true; but it may just be one piece of the puzzle.
The inner Truth? I think it’s a holy war, one that has been going on long before we were born; before time itself. To me, there just isn’t any other explanation.

Joseph C. Phillips - Fed-Up With The Transportation Safety Administration
I arrived at the Los Angeles Airport more than an hour early. I had made good time on the highway. I wasn't checking any bags, so with my boarding pass in hand I proceeded to the gate. I was greeted with a security line that was almost an hour long. The line snaked around the terminal, out the door, and stretched down the sidewalk. At the front of the line sat a lone Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) officer studiously checking identification with a jeweler's loupe, the small magnifying glass jewelers use to look for flaws in gemstones.
It is little wonder that polls consistently find that the TSA is the most hated U.S. government agency, even more despised than the Internal Revenue Service. Americans believe that the TSA is rude, invasive, obnoxious, and dull-witted. Sure, there are good, honest, hard-working folks employed with the TSA; I have met some of them. However, I tend to share the negative assessment that airport security is not firing on all cylinders.
When I finally reached the security station, I discovered the source of the delay. In addition to TSA incompetence, the lines were backed up going through a new security machine ironically called a "Rapid Scan."
The "Rapid Scan" is one of the new x-ray machines recently employed by the TSA to perform full-body scans on airline passengers.
It is truly a testament to the adaptability of the American spirit that not only does an hour long wait at security barely raise eye-brows, but passengers are willing to submit to a virtual strip-search with nary a whimper as well. Perhaps it is ambivalence. I suspect, however, that after the abuse of waiting in lines for everything from parking to security, stripping down to one's BVDs is a small price to pay to be allowed to sit down.
The federal government has also convinced a great many Americans that the TSA is the thin gray and blue line standing between the terrorists and their wives and children. As far as the Federal Government is concerned, long, slow-moving lines, the invasion of privacy, and the dull-witted rudeness of the TSA agents are the costs of peace of mind.
Apparently, I am not the only one who believes the Transportation Safety Administration has an inflated opinion of itself. I wish I had the guts of Tennessee pilot Michael Roberts.
Last week, Roberts, a first officer for ExpressJet Airlines, refused to take a body scan and then refused to be "manhandled" by the TSA giving him a physical pat-down. Roberts went home and is now waiting to see if he will lose his job. According to newspaper reports, Roberts said that like all Americans, he has safety concerns, but called TSA a "make-work" program that doesn't make travel safer.
And he is correct.
The TSA has largely succeeded in enforcing its own rules. How many bombers has the TSA thwarted since its inception? The answer is zero. Contrast that figure with the gallons and gallons of hand lotion the agency has confiscated. As bags pass on the conveyer belt, agents stare intently at x-ray screens. What could they be looking for? Could it be that one of these passengers standing in line could be attempting to smuggle a bomb on board? Of course not! The agents are looking for yogurt! They are looking for baby formula! They are looking for deodorant larger than the allowable three ounces.
Often, the security lines move slowly because the TSA has not assigned enough agents to pour over every passenger's identification with a jeweler's loupe and a black-light. But wait, all 19 of the "murderingscumwhoarecurrentlyburninginhell" responsible for the attacks on 9/11 had legal identification. In fact, the only reason we know who they are is because they presented proper, legal identification at the security station. The same is true of Richard Reid as well as the Christmas day bomber, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab.
As for the "Rapid Scan? Alas, it is only rapid compared to an MRI. Passengers must stand still in a box for 10 seconds and then wait for the machine to analyze the data it has compiled. Oh, and you have to take the money out of your pockets because this brilliant piece of equipment apparently can't distinguish between a dollar bill and a bomb!
Airline passengers now have a choice: virtual strip-search or be subjected to the much longer process of being physically groped by a stranger. Sadly, in the same way that travelers now look at an hour wait in a security line as, "Hey, that's not so bad." We will also get used to having our privacy further infringed upon. The long and short of it is that the entire process has lost its civility and is on the verge of losing any semblance of dignity. No? Consider that the not-so-rapid-scan is also unable to scan inside the body cavity. How long will it be before all travelers are asked to drop trou, bend over, and cough?
The body scanner would not have discovered the explosives hidden by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab and yet Americans continue to be told that the TSA is making travelers safe. I am of the opinion that the security measures at airports have largely been successful only at irritating passengers and making air-travel more unpleasant than, well, just about anything else I can think of.
